Chiang Mai
Don’t follow the herd. Forget green curry and pad Thai, that's central Thai fare. Hop on board our private songthaew truck for four hours of feasting. We enjoyed trying the many types of Northern Thai and Burmese dishes. The places we ate at were clean. Our favorite dishes were the chicken and pork cooked over charcoal in the clay pots.

We went on the Friday, January 16th tour. I appreciated greatly getting the brief historical elements of Thai cuisine and northern Thailand in general. Also, I was truly happy to be introduced to the northern Thai sausage (which I indulged in at multiple restaurants after learning about it on this tour), the pork from the Cowboy hat lady, and the coconut milk taro dessert afterwards. My main criticism though is that our guide, though super friendly and informative, just talked way too much. When we'd be in the songtaew (Thai van), she'd be talking the whole 10-15 minute ride without taking a breath. It felt there was never a time that we could get a word in. It would also happen at the restaurants. I sincerely appreciate her sharing of information, and this is not meant to be anything more than constructive criticism for improvement for future guests, but her talking did impact how I felt about the experience. All in all though, we got our value from what was spent, and the tour was worth it.

Kung was a super guide. We were a group of 5 and she was full of information. Also brought sanitizer, wipes & tissues for us. The dishes we tried were different from the norm and absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this.

Four hours of wonderful culinary discoveries accompanied by stories about the country, culture, and food. What a great way to start a trip. Aim was a very attentive and generous guide. The tours are conducted in small groups. There were only six of us, which made for a personalized experience. The food was excellent and very diverse. We loved it.

Fantastic and incredible food tour with Aim! My husband and I loved hearing about the dishes, the cultural background, history and where to find some of the best street food. Every single place was prepped early and so friendly and nice. We were stuffed by the end of the tour and everything was so so delicious. Loved our experience!
