Schedule:
13:00, departs from meeting point.
14:30-17:30, arrive at the venue, register at entrance, and enjoy local performance. (Recieve Krathong at Loy krathong Zone)
17:30-19:00, Enjoy Thai Buffet Dinner.
19:00, Enter to the situal area and the ceremony began.
20:15, Lanch Lanterns together and watch firework.
20.45, End of the ceremony, depart from the venue to Chiangmai (drop-off point).

【End of Activity, Leaving Smoothly】 ○ Expect crowds and delay when heading back to Chiang Mai (drop off point, not hotel). Return shuttles run in cycles, sometimes until late. It is recommended that you bring some snacks and drinking water with you in case you get hungry. ○ No rush? Stay at the venue for a while and enjoy more music or find a place to sit and relax—it beats standing in long queues!

What To Expect
Yi Peng and Loy Krathong - Lantern Festival
【Don’t Miss Fun Activities at the Venue】 ○ Explore the cultural village, enjoy traditional lanna dances, browse handicraft markets, or try a DIY workshop. ○ Relax on a haystack while listening to live music. ○ Visit the loy krathong area to float a free loy krathong and make wish. You can also light an oil lamp at that small mound to pray for blessings. 【Dinner zone Tips】 ○ The buffet opens around 5 PM and runs for about 2 hours. ○ Use your paper ticket to enter the right food zone. If you arrive a bit later, please walk inside the dining area and look for the food. 【Sky Lantern Ceremony Pagoda Zone】 ○ After dinner, follow your seat assignment to the pagoda zone. Two sky lanterns are placed on each seat. ○ Enjoy the performance, recite scriptures and meditate. Follow the instructions of the host to release sky lanterns together, creating a grand spectacle of tens of thousands of sky lanterns.

4.00The overall experience was good. Communication with the ticket seller was good. They managed to accommodate my sister's booking which was made 3 months after mine and got her a ticket in the same row as me. Having seen reviews about the poor organisation of the free transport provided, I opted to take a Grab taxi direct from my hotel to the venue which worked well. On arrival I obtained a wristband for the return free transport from the information centre and enter the site. There were lots of activities, some of which you had to pay for but nothing expensive, maybe 100 baht. We headed to the food section at around 5:00 p.m. and managed to get a good place to sit down and eat. We had standard tickets and seating was on the ground on plastic sheets covered with mats and cushions with small tables. There was a huge selection of food and all was tasty and well cooked. The toilets were not very clean but sufficient. After eating we headed over to the main event area. Seats were easy to find and there were stewards on each row to help. The show itself was spectacular with monks chanting and lasers and holograms projected onto the big pagoda in the centre of the arena. Then came the time to release the lanterns which was absolutely magical and beyond what I expected. Unfortunately, the free transport to the drop-off points was very poorly organised. We left the site at 9:00 p.m. to go to a van and it took 45 minutes to an hour to get on transport to the night bazaar and then unfortunately the driver did not take everybody to the night bizarre. He stopped 1 km away and we all had to walk which was very inconvenient. This however, is not the ticket seller's fault. It is CAD, the organizer's fault. All in all I would purchase from this ticket seller again and also attend the CAD Yee Peng lantern Festival again.

4.00The festival itself was excellent. However, the transportation was an absolute nightmare. Getting back at the end of the night was chaotic as none of the transport drivers wanted to go to the night bazaar drop off point as per the itinerary. Aftet what seemed like endless time going from driver to driver and being sent on a wild goose chase, we found a driver who said he was going there... but he dropped everyone off about 20mins away from the bazaar and wouldn't take us any further. They really need to organise this aspect of the trip much better. Considering how expensive this is, the poor transportation really isn't acceptable and ruins the end of the experience.

5.00It was truly amazing! Bus pickup was seamless. It is fully outdoor so very hot and be prepared for all weather. The grounds were muddy from rain the day before. Wonderful cultural exhibits, crafts to make or buy, and food samples to get you through the afternoon. Musical performances and the Muy Thai demonstrations were very popular. Large separate dining area with booths serving various types of food for dinner. The lantern lighting ceremony was nice. Lighting and releasing the lantern can be tricky but so mesmerizing to watch them float away with your wish. Leaving the event was chaotic- busses not well organized perhaps because it began to pour rain. People crammed in sitting on the floor, waiting 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot.

5.00There was a huge and large crowd & queue by 2pm so be there earlier. Besides that, transport is relatively fast! Different vehicle for different package and fastest is the Elite & Standard package. If you are planning to go, note that going back time may differ from schedule as all Big Buses will go back either to Night Bazzar or Maya Shopping!
