Enjoy unlimited food, beer, and soft-drinks on this tuk-tuk tour of Siem Reap's local cuisine and see another side of Cambodia you haven’t experienced - full of local Khmer life, vibrancy, and flavors.
We'll visit 4 authentic eateries plus a local bar, including street food from the oldest stall in town, the only restaurant in town serving cuisine from the Kula ethnic minority, and sipping beer while watching the cows come home (literally) during sunset in a rural village. Plus a lot more!
My hosts and I have worked hard to create a truly unique experience that you can't get anywhere else. My hosts and our vendors all have deep roots in Siem Reap, and our entire menu is produced within Siem Reap province, down to the home-made fermented fish sauce and garlic-chili sauces.

In Temple Town, there’s endless touristy restaurants pushing the same myth and menu about Cambodian food: beef loklak, fish amok, and green curry. But if you look closely, there are no local customers, and the chefs are eating something different in the back room. Millions of people come to Siem Reap completely missing what food here truly is. That’s why we spent months on squat boats, knee deep in mud with water buffalo, and exploring countryside villages where locals eat the real stuff. Because it’s not just about the food, but where it comes from and who prepares it. We’ve built strong relationships with the local community to offer you an incredibly unique and authentic experience. We’ve met the servers, the chefs, and the farmers behind every grain of rice and drop of fish sauce, to put together a one-of-a-kind experience. The food you’ll eat features ingredients and recipes that are made in Siem Reap by locals whose roots date back to the Era of God-Kings.
Kula Cuisine: Visit the only restaurant in town serving cuisine from this small ethnic minority group originating in northwest Cambodia. You’ll love their use of local herbs and homemade pickles to create a unique flavor.

My husband and I are mature world travelers, and we purposely choose private excursions that allow us to experience unique events that are a part of the local culture. Sivhong was our tour guide last evening. I cannot begin to express my gratitude towards her for allowing us to have one of the most unforgettable evenings of our many travels. We have done food tours in Iceland, Panama, Greece, Canada and other nations, but this was the best! Our tuk-tuk driver was friendly, and was a skilled and safe operator who guided us through the complicated roadways and traffic . He kept us refreshed with water, beer, and cool towels. Sivhong was very thorough in explaining Cambodian food culture. We ate at several small business- including a small woman owned local restaurant, roadside lotus seeds offered by young Cambodian children, a countryside meal in a private residence, street food kebabs, food truck dessert pancakes, and a cocktail in an upscale bar on Pub Street. The food was genuinely good, I was not concerned regarding any of the cleanliness, preparation or presentation. Sivhong is an asset to this company, and I highly recommend her as your future tour guide!

Our family had a wonderful time with Heng as our guide. We saw and ate things that we would have never had the opportunity without her tour. The food was genuinely delicious and we really had the chance to experience real life Cambodia—not the easily accessible tourist spots. The visit to Mr Wat’s home was especially memorable. We lived the experienced and would highly recommend it.

Heng is a very good tour guide. She provided a lot of information. That said, this tour is definitely not worth $75. That’s a lot of money in this country. The food I had on this tour was just OK. I had much better food at other places in Siem Reap. Given my experience, I was surprised at all of the five star reviews. Although, there are other reviews that are similar to mine. At the end of the tour while we were sitting down having a drink, we were asked to go to a website and write a five star review with the tour guide sitting right there, I think that people felt pressured to do so. Everyone in the group except me wrote a review while sitting next to the tour guide. I think that’s how this experience got so many good reviews. I do not think they accurately reflect the quality and value of this tour. I do not recommend it.
