Never gone rock climbing outdoors or indoors, then this is for you! Learn the basics and after this adventurous course, you will be able to pass any gym’s belayer test. Mankind's underdeveloped climbing skills and inability to digest tin cans are two ways in which evolution left humans inferior to goats. Level the playing field, learn climbing basics, such as rope skills and belaying, during an introductory climbing course. Washington's terrain makes the state a climber's paradise and the perfect place for a rock climbing hobby and there is no better time to start than the present.
We have three locations in Washington State for you to choose from, Mt. Erie in Anacortes, Little Si or Mt. Washington near Seattle, or the crags near Bellingham.
There is something here for everyone, routes can be as easy as climbing a playground or for those who want to push their limits we have something in mind for you too.

Learn the basics of outdoor rock climbing and after this adventurous course you will be able to pass any indoor rock climbing gym’s belayer test and feel confident in taking the next step towards your own climbing adventures. Learn about belaying, rappeling, catching falls, climbing technique, climbing equipment, knots and much much more! We will set up top ropes to climb on and move to more advanced forms of climbing as we progress. One of our most popular adventures and great value. This is a great option for kids and any adults. If you're just trying rock climbing for the first time or you started in a rock gym and want to try the outdoors this is for you. There is something here for everyone, routes can be as easy as climbing a playground or for those who want to push their limits we have something in mind for you too. All of our classes are in small private groups and customized to the skills of each climber.

5.00I had a great time climbing with AdventureTerra on our Intro to Rock Climbing Course. Our instructor Clay was polite, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. All gear was provided for us and was in good working order. Clay was on time and worked with each individual according to their skill and comfort level. These guys are great instructors and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to improve their skills or just have fun on a weekend.

5.00Clay helped me tremendously to learn the basics of outdoor sport and trad climbing. As a middle aged climber I found it more useful to take a series of private lessons so I could progress at my own pace. Clay was always calm and patient with me, even if it meant demonstrating things many times until I got it. He's easy to work with providing the right balance of encouragement and pushing you to your best ability. I found Mt Erie an excellent spot to train on a variety of technical grades. Based on my experience, this is an excellent company for anyone interested in trying or improving their skill in rock climbing.

5.00This was our first experience with rock climbing. Leo is very knowledgeable of the sport and really took the time to explain all of the equipment, techniques, and to make sure we felt comfortable with sitting in the harness before we started to climb. He modified the climbs to fit our personal level of ability and comfort. We felt completely safe and were able to relax and enjoy the experience. Thanks again Leo!

5.00Me and my husband did the rock climbing experience with Cameron and Rilen. We were both a little nervous, we didn’t really know what to expect. Cameron made us feel very comfortable, and was a very good teacher. Adventure Terra also includes an option to have a photographer capture your experience, Rilen not only added to the fun we had with our little group but he also takes amazing pictures. If you are on the fence about booking a photographer, I’d say that it was definitely worth the price, for us we love looking back on those pictures, and keeping them as proof for our kids that we weren’t always boring. My husband and I loved our experience and plan to come back for the tree climbing experience.

5.00Can't say enough good things about Leo with Adventure Terra! Talk about instilling confidence and trust in the climber and the climbers Mom! I was very impressed with the calm and empowering personality Leo taught with. I really appreciated how Leo went through every aspect of Climbing. Taking care of gear, rope, safety checks for each other. Leo even "forgot" to secure his caribeaner and my son caught it on the safety check. Leo also taught my son how to secure himself to a tree and my son belayed Leo!! Leo "fell" on purpose so my son could feel it and grow in confidence with the gear. This was a very through lesson that made me feel very confident in my son Climbing. My son is 10years old and had a blast! Thank you Leo and Adventure Terra!

5.00Our teenage daughters did a rock climbing beginner tour. Everything was just gorgeous. The day before the guide contacted us for the exact meeting point. This was extremely helpful. When we arrived, we had a short hike uphill to reach the climbing area. Everything was already set up. The guide Zac was extremely encouraging, very patient and extremely positive. The girls felt very safe and very accepted. They climbed different routes and Zac made sure, that they had a super positive experience. Great tour and great guide!
