Our experience visiting Atitlan Lake and Panajachel was the best, we were guided by Helmuth in his car and we learn a lot about Guatemala, we enjoy the food, the placed we visited and the friendliness, not just from him but from everyone we met during the day. There is something special about the people in Guatemala, they are not only friendly, but helpful, and always looking to find ways for you to feel at home. The tour was great, but not only because the places are amazing, but because Helmuth help us understand the history and the culture of every place we went. We leave a friend in Guatemala.

Best base city to stay to see Lake Atitlan. Better hotels and more facilities for those arriving from Antigua. Good restaurants and lots of souvenir shops.
