This was an excellent experience—we’re still talking about it! Guya and Matteo were wonderful hosts—teaching us how to make pasta, meatballs and gelato in Guya’s family home, overlooking Florence—it was a magical setting watching the sunset over the city. We got to meet fellow travelers, making it an enjoyable, fun evening. We would definitely recommend doing this—it was the highlight of our trip! Thank you Guya and Matteo!!

Grazie Matteo & Guya for sharing your authentic recipes with us. Our group learned so much about pasta making and we had a great time. The overall group was 7 people which was the perfect size to learn and share our stories. The view of Tuscany was beautiful from the villa rooftop, we will have many memories.

We can’t say enough good things about the cooking class we did with Guya and Matteo in Florence. It was hands-down the best thing we did during our entire week in Italy. From the very beginning, they made us feel completely at home. This wasn’t just a class; it felt like spending the afternoon with old friends (who just happen to be amazing cooks). We made several kinds of pasta from scratch (which was way more fun than we expected), meatballs that were absolutely delicious, and finished with homemade gelato. What really stood out, though, was how personal everything felt. Guya and Matteo were so warm, genuine, and generous with their time and stories. You could tell this wasn’t a commercial operation – it was something they put their hearts into, and it showed in every detail. They shared family traditions with us. We’ve done other experiences in Italy that felt more “touristy,” but this one was on a whole different level. We laughed, learned, and ate one of the best meals of our trip. If you’re in Florence and want to do something authentic and meaningful, do not miss this class. It’s something we’ll remember forever.

Such a beautiful and authentic Tuscan experience! Guya was kind, welcoming, and full of passion. The view from the villa is breathtaking, and every dish we made was delicious. The round-trip car transfer from Florence was a great bonus and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

My wife and I did this cooking class while on our honeymoon. This experience was truly the highlight of our honeymoon. Guya and Matteo were absolutely incredible hosts, with Guya truly opening up her home to us and making my wife and I feel like we were a part of her family. We learned to cook amazing pastas, drank delicious wines, and enjoyed our meal afterwards on the beautiful terrace of the villa. We cannot recommend this experience enough!

It's not a restaurant and it's not a hotel..it's much, but much more. The villa is close enough to the center to enjoy Florence but far enough away to enjoy the peace of its hills. The welcome is one of the strengths of the structure ..pur being our first time we never felt guests but part of the family. And then comes the EXPERIENCE of eating what you cook together with Guya, the beautiful and good hostess who took me back in time making me dirty my hands to make fresh pasta... exciting! The meatballs are spectacular and dining on the terrace overlooking Florence is unparalleled. They also offer a shuttle service which is really a plus. If you want to take care of yourself this is the ideal place. If you want to have a different experience this is the ideal place. If you want to eat well and in good company this is the ideal place. Highly recommended!!

(Written by my wife, Zoey) This experience wasn’t just the highlight of our vacation—it may have been one of the most meaningful nights of my life! We had originally booked a different pasta-making class, but when our plans shifted, we opted for this smaller, more intimate evening in Guya’s home. What we thought was just a schedule change turned out to be something truly unforgettable!!! Matteo picked us up and drove us through the hills to Guya’s family villa, which has been passed down for generations. The panoramic view of Florence took our breath away—but the true magic unfolded inside. Guya welcomed us with such warmth and generosity. Early in the evening, she shared part of her family’s story—complete with old photographs and a touching tribute to the family who came before her. Through Matteo’s translation, she explained that the recipes we were about to learn weren’t just food—they were legacy, shaped by generations of love and tradition. One moment, in particular, moved me to tears. When Guya spoke about her grandmother, I felt an unexpected emotional connection. Her words—and even the photo—reminded me so much of my own grandmother, who was my best friend. It’s a memory I’ll carry with me forever. The rest of the evening unfolded like a dream. We cooked several traditional dishes in the coziest kitchen, all while wearing aprons with a meaningful Italian phrase that ties back to a beautiful children’s story—something you’ll have to experience for yourself. Dinner was served on the rooftop under the stars, with blankets to keep us warm and wines chosen just for us. At one point, my husband played soccer with Guya’s son while we watched the lights of Florence shimmer in the distance. It was peaceful, heartfelt, and completely magical. We left with full hearts and the unshakable feeling that nothing about this evening was accidental. If you’re thinking about booking—do it. This is so much more than a cooking class. It’s a deeply special glimpse into real Italian family, tradition, and connection. One I’ll never forget!
