The emotional impact of this visit reminded me of our visit to Arlington Cemetery. Very somber, respectful, and so very much a part of U.S. history. I whispered a quiet prayer to those 900+ souls entombed below and thanked them for their ultimate sacrifice. The Missouri tour was fascinating. The ship was a major player in the Navy and stands as a time capsuled museum. The guide was amiable and knowledgeable.

Pearl Harbor is a must see. Plan your tour yourself and but a Pearl Harbor access pass with admission to the Missouri, Aviation Museum, submarine museum and of course the Arizona (reserve tickets in advance). With the access pass you get two days to cover it all, and you need that.

We learned so much about the start of the US involvement in WW II, why and how Pearl Harbor was attacked, as well as the end of the war with the signing of its end on the USS Missouri. We enjoyed the tour of the “Mighty Mo” and could have spent a whole afternoon doing just that! Pearl Harbor is an experience you do not want to miss!
