Khao Wang (Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park)
Khao Wang or Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park is a notable tourist site in Petchaburi Province; it is the symbol of the province. Khao Wang is very outstanding and obviously be seen from a far distance, including the white chedi and buildings. Khao Wang is the ancient remains of Petchaburi Province which are located on the 92-meter-high mountain. We will take the Cable Car to go to the Top of the Mountain.
Wat Mahathat Worawihan
Centrally located, gleaming white Wat Mahathat is one impressive temple. The showpiece is a 42m-tall five-tiered Ayuthaya-style prang (corn-cob shaped stupa) decorated in stucco relief, a specialty of Phetchaburi’s local artisans you'll see all over town. Inside the wí·hăhn (sanctuary) that fronts it are important, though highly damaged, early-20th-century murals.

Very nice day trip. Well organized and our guide was very informative. With bad knees, the steps out of the cave were very difficult for me, but otherwise a nice experience for seniors like myself.

A good trip that covered 3 different sites all with their own unique characteristics. We went to a Temple, a cave system and the Kings royal summer palace. The tour guide was great and provided lots of background on the various sites and items we came across. I would happily recommend this tour.

It is a serious climb that you should certainly not underestimate in hot weather but really worth it. We took a boat to the beach but walking 1km is also perfect, I think.

The tour guide was very informative, engaging and wanted to make sure everybody had a good time. Palace, Cave, and Temple stops just right and were followed by a nice tai meal. Recommended for a fuss-free easy-going day.

Did the tour privately, in conjunction with the "Black Monk." Definitely worth a trip. The cave is within easy walking distance. If you are lucky the sun is right and you have a great picture when the sun rays shine into the cave.

Day trip to the Petchaburi province. 1st stop the Kings Summer palace built in 1860 by King Rama IV. Next visited Tham Khao Luang cave is fully of Buddha images built by King Chulalongkorn the great in 1868 in honour of King Mongkut. Stopped for a very nice Thai buffet style meal including Thai green chicken curry, chicken, chilli & sweet basil, chicken cashew stir fry, sweet & sour chicken, toasted tofu, steam vegetables and rice.accompanied by a couple of large Chang beers. Final stop was Wat Mahathat situated by the Petchaburi River is a mixture of late Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin style with an adaptation of Kymer ancient monastery. Also incorporates a Buddhist ordination hall. All in all a great day out.

Picked up at 8.50 and back by 14.15. Great half day trip with 3 stops and lunch. Catered for vegetarian and had bottled water in the mini bus. Temple clothing needed for the kings palace but not the cave or summer palace/5 peaks. Guide was fabulous, gets very hot out at the stops so be prepared!

The guide Mr. Pao was really good. He was fluent in German, English and Thai. The ride was really worth it. The cave and palace was really worth seeing. The temple was not a highlight. Not like Bangkok, but OKay.
