The tour was a joke. Why didn’t City Tour notify us in advance that they were not providing a guide for the tour. We could have cancelled and gone with another agent. Secondly, why were we crammed in a mini van with the rudest of drivers who made it clear from the word go that he didn’t want to be there. He was abrupt and ignored us completely. Thirdly, we were 8 passengers on the tour all of whom spoke English so why was the guide cancelled . This tour was the highlight of our entire trip. Before the tour, Three local guides indicated that the Provdiv tour was the dream of all guides. I had to juggle between the audio headphones and my phone to cross check with the map they sent me on WhatsApp. My husband didnt bother. You can use this as a review of our Provdiv Tour . Then they insult us with a 10$ refund. Thank you

Apart from our very good guide, the tour was a disaster, from stopping 3-4 times looking for a working toilet to being cramped in a small van that felt every pothole in this bad road. The van was far too small to accommodate 8 guests safely and comfortably, it was horrible. We wish we never went We were ready to leave Plovdiv in this little van early but someone in your office would not give our driver permission. This did not go down well with all the unhappy guests. THIS IS OUR WORSE VIATOR EXPERIENCE EVER. No paying guest should have to endure this. This is not a reflection of our guide who was very knowledgeable but the poor tool she had to work with. I expect far better quality transport and not a reliance on unwelcoming petrol stations to have a toilet stop.

The trip was very enjoyable! Our driver and guide Tuni gave us a very nice tour in the old city and we saw a lot of interesting sights. The city is very colourful and beautiful!
Plovdiv - find time to go when in Bulgaria.

A must to visit when in Bulgaria. Don’t research, explore and be surprised. The Audio guide device provided instead of an English tour guide was really helpful and will definitely guide you and well designed.
