The Lion & Safari Park is located in the historic Cradle of Humankind, about a 30-45-minute from the city and the ideal private tour from Johannesburg. It is a protected conservation area with over 80 lions, including the famous white lions. It also has cheetah, hyena, wild dogs, various antelope, and tower of tame giraffe. The Lion and Safari Park, which relocated to the Cradle of Humankind in July 2016, provides guests with an unforgettable experience. Animal interactions, guided game drives, and self-drives are among the many exciting activities available at the new park. When you take this private informative guided tour, you will get up close and personal with some of Africa’s most beloved animals. Guests can also hand feed a variety of animals such as giraffes, ostriches, and various other antelope species that roam freely on the 600-hectare property and frequently visit the wetlands in front of ‘the Wetlands’ Bar and Restaurant.

What To Expect
Lion and Safari Park
The park is home to more than 85 lions and other carnivores like the cheetah, hyena and wild dog. Lion Park is home to the rare white lion, so make sure you bring your camera for some exclusive shots. At Cub World you can observe baby lions, how cute is that? And when you are not frightened by tall animals with long necks, you can also feed the giraffes and ostriches!

5.00Amazing all day trip into Kruger with Gustaf! We were in the park for about 8 hours including a 90 min lunch stop at the lovely restaurant inside the park. We saw lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffe, elephants, hippos, impala and a whole other array of native animals and birds. Gustaf knew exactly where to go and when and we often beat the rush and were the first car there so it wasn’t crowded and we had a great view of the animals with time to take some quick snaps and then also enjoy viewing the animals themselves. The park is very well kept and clearly valued by all who work there. All the staff we met were so friendly and my family and I truly had the best day. Couldn’t have asked for more! Would recommend MoAfrika tours and Gustaf highly.

5.00Visiting the Lion Park was truly a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was well organized and welcoming. Our guides, Cipo and Zuni, made the visit even more special. They were not only knowledgeable about the animals but also very friendly, ensuring that we felt comfortable and engaged throughout the tour.

5.00Carson was an amazing companion and I must say a valuable employee cos he nudged me to getting another ticket to Soweto tomorrow which I initially didn’t have plans on doing. The lion park experience was amazing with a super guide. A fantastic experience in summary.

5.00Our driver was super knowledgeable of the area, providing all of the history and facts. He was so friendly and amazing driver too. The safari was incredible and will never forget it. We got up close and personal with a giraffe and saw a lot of animals. Our safari tour guide was awesome too. Highly recommend this tour!!! My family, including my 18 year old daughter had a wonderful time.

5.00Prior to arrival the company provided good communications with updates . Carson our driver arrived on time and was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He took care of everything at the venue, guided us around and collected our tickets. The safari itself was with a few other people and consisted of a 2 hour drive through different enclosures. We saw multiple types of animals, the giraffe and lions were amazing. Plenty of ostriches , wilderbeast and pumba. I would highly recommend.

5.00Dusty was our guide, she is knowledgeable and funny, She introduced us to the animals as if they are her friends but continually reminded us that they are wild animals and should be respected as such. It was wonderful to see the animals up close from a secure vehicle.
