What To Expect
Rio Nuevo
This tour includes pick up and drop off from your hotel or your cruise port in and around Ocho Rios. Itinerary Pickup time for example: 9am First we will stop at Bamboo Rafting which is it about 20 minutes drive from the port or hotel. Enjoy a 60 minutes riding experience on a hand-made bamboo raft and enjoy the sun as you sail on the crystal clear waters. Learn about the nature of the area from your knowledgeable and experienced guide
St. Ann's Bay
10:20 am Next Your driver/guide will take you for a 30 minutes ride down toward the coast to begin your horseback riding in the ocean with your well trained guides. Ride horses on the beach and enjoy splashing in the water with them. This tour lasts for about 45 minutes. 11:30am After you are finished, your driver/guide will then take you back to your cruise ship. However, you also have the option to stop for souvenirs shopping and lunch.

4.00This tour company is polished, and its owner articulate, engaging and respectful. We loved working with him. Our only criticism is that the horseback ride -- arranged with a private horse owner by this company-- didn't swim and gallop around in the water as the big tour groups' horses did. This was a bit disappointing, as this is part of why we wanted to ride the horses in the ocean. Please be advised, also, that this horseback ride is akin to a pony ride (with horses being led in a line to the ocean and back). The horse owner did take stop leading the horse directly when requested, but as far as horseback rides go, this one didn't involve hardly any rider autonomy.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion day with Dalton and Quest Tours. We booked a day of horseback riding and bamboo rafting with Quest. Dalton picked up our group of six in a nice vehicle, talked about local culture and the places we drove through on the way to our activities, and made sure we got his favorite guides at the horse and rafting sites. We never felt rushed and, in fact, he took us to get lunch and some shopping time in Ocho Rios after our activities on the way back to our pickup location. It was an excursion day completely tailored to what we wanted to do. Dalton made us feel taken care of so we could concentrate on enjoying the experiences. We highly recommend Dalton and Quest tours.

5.00Our trip to Jamaica wouldn’t have been the same without our amazing tour guide. From the moment we met him, he made us feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for. He’s one of the kindest people we’ve ever met always smiling, always making sure we were having a great time. We learned so much from him about the island, the culture, and the people, all while laughing and creating memories we’ll never forget. If you're visiting Jamaica, you need someone like him!!

5.00Transportation: Our private driver was Dalton of Quest Tours, and he was absolutely amazing! He came highly recommend on several Jamaica travel platforms and I was very pleased to meet him. He was very personable and genuine. He gave us a rich and detailed history of the parishes and towns that we drove through and were visiting. Dalton was not only our tour guide, but also our photographer! He made sure to capture beautiful photos and sent them to me within hours after our adventure. Dalton stopped at a local farm stand and purchased sugar cane fruit for us and we all shared in some of the sweet treat. To me, this is above and beyond …but there’s more. I work in banking and have a passion for coin collecting. Dalton gave me some Jamaican coins to take home. I would absolutely recommend him and Quest Tours. Horseback Riding: As a first-time rider, I felt very comfortable and confident after a brief lesson. I rode Biscuit and my husband rode Charlie. They were very calm and friendly horses. The guides stayed right with our group and made sure we felt secure. They also made sure to ask how wet we wanted to get prior to riding in the ocean. One of the guides also went out of his way to take pictures and videos with my phone. There was also a photographer with the option to purchase pictures. We decided to purchase the pictures - 117 photos for $60.00 digitally sent (within an hour of departing). Bamboo Rafting: Our adventure took place on Rio Nuevo. Our captain was Andre, who was highly recommended. He was very accommodating with music choices, conversation with local history and plants used in holistic medicines. We made a quick stop to Tony’s drink stand. I got a “jelly” (young coconut) water. It was very refreshing in the heat. There were many options for beverages. At the end of the outlet, we stopped for a limestone massage. Andre was very professional and gentle with my skin during the massage. He provided all of the beneficial properties of limestone and its history. There were also some local vendors at the outlet who had various wares and services - paintings, beaded jewelry, souvenirs, snacks, beverages, hair braiding, massages. I would recommend this experience on your next trip to Jamaica. I would advise to bring a little extra cash and possibly a towel to dry off before the ride back to your resort.
