Green is the predominant color in this trip, we will travel north of Cluj Napoca with the purpose to discover the natural beauties of Salaj County. We will have five stops: The Garden of Dragons, Jibou Botanical Garden, Lavender Field, Roman Castrum Porolissum and the wooden church from the town of Breb. The tour is suitable for those who want to spend time in nature and to discover new things about the fauna and flora of Romania, it is not a commercial tour and the tourist objectives are less known by the ordinary tourist. But if you love nature and want to spend time with your group of friends or family on an private tour this day trip is definitely for you.

What To Expect
Gradina Zmeilor
The Dragons’ garden is a unique landscape in the whole world. It is the most famous, most impressive sight in Sălaj County. Here we will make a 2 h easy hike. The protected geological and landscape natural reservation is the home of some peculiar formations. The current appearance of the rocks is due to corrosion (wind, rain, snow etc.), water and vegetation, thus their form is continuously changing and Dragons may change in appearance or height. The uniqueness of the Dragon rocks attracts not only tourists, but researchers as well.
Gradina Botanica Vasile Fati Jibou
Positioned at the altitude of 272 m, surrounded by fairly high hills, protecting it from cold currents, it enjoys a favorable climate that allows the most diverse experiments. The Botanical Garden’s collections contain over 5.000 species of plants coming from different areas of the world. The botanical garden and its history began in 1957 when Professor Vasile Fati discovers the potential of the park around the high school (which operates in Wesselenyi Castle) which in his eyes must be capitalized. It is the most recently established botanical garden in the country.

5.00We had a wonderful day visiting some of the lesser known attractions near Cluj which were all so interesting. Tudor was a fabulous host, very knowledgeable, considerate and relaxed. He added some fun and unexpected touches to the trip which made it even more enjoyable. And he was a very good driver. Thank you Tudor :)

5.00In spite of our original trip being cancelled due to the weather, Tudor planned a fabulous alternative trip for us including racing down a zip line, a fascinating tour of the salt mine at Salina Turda, a beautiful scenic hike and a visit to the picturesque village of Rimetea and the stunning Comana Monastery. We saw some amazing sights, had a great day and Tudor is a very knowledgable guide who takes good care of his clients. 100% recommend!

5.00The Green Tour was our second trip with Tudor after going on the Curly tours trip to Turda. The Green tour is around Salaj County and turned out every bit as wonderful as we were hoping. There was a great hike through the Dragons Garden followed by visits to Jibou botanical gardens, roman ruins and ending at the church of the smiling saints. Can't praise Tudor enough for his knowledge and helpfulness. Another great day trip and compliments the Curly Tour day which includes the salt mine perfectly.
