On our tour you learn everything about how acorn-fed Iberian ham is produced from the birth of the pigs until the hams are ready to eat. You'll visit a farm in beautiful surroundings, go to a ham curing facility in the town of Jabugo and enjoy a gourmet lunch in Aracnea with products from the Iberian pig being the protaganists as well as other fine local produce. You'll also get to taste some fantastic Spanish wine. We can guarantee a wonderful day for lovers of great food.

What To Expect
On leaving Seville you head to the beautiful Sierra de Aracena. Our first stop is an Iberian pig farm which is in an idyllic setting. You 'll learn everything about the breeding and rearing of the pigs as you take a stroll around the farm. You'll get a chance to taste some acorn-fed Iberian ham and the best Spanish omeltte you've ever had! You then head to Jabugo, the most famous town in Spain for Iberian ham. You'll been shown round one of the curing houses and you'll find out about the process from start to finish and see absolutely thousands of hams! It's then on to the town of Aracena for a gourmet lunch tasting different cuts from the Iberian pig and other fantastic local produce as well as more ham! You'll aso get to drink some fine Spanish red wine There'll also be time for a walk up to the castle before heading back to Seville. We have been running these tours since 2002 and we can assure you that you will have a brilliant day.

5.00Our Private Iberian Ham Tour was truly a highlight in our trip and an experience we’ll never forget. From the very beginning, it was clear how special this day would be thanks to our guide, Roger. The level of care, attention, and knowledge Roger brought to the tour made everything feel seamless, personal, and incredibly meaningful. Starting at the farm was the perfect first stop. Seeing where and how the pigs are raised gave us such an appreciation for the care and tradition behind Iberian ham. It added depth and context that made everything else on the tour even more fascinating. The visit to the Cinco Jotas curing facility was equally incredible. Watching the process up close and learning about it in detail was eye‑opening, and Marco, our guide there, explained everything with such passion and clarity. We learned so much and came away with a whole new respect for the craft. The tasting at the end was absolutely fabulous—the perfect way to experience everything we had just learned. And the included lunch at La Lieva was a wonderful surprise. It wasn’t just a meal; it felt thoughtfully curated, with dishes we had never tasted before and flavors that truly stood out. Including this lunch in the experience was such a great choice and made the day feel complete. This tour was beautifully paced, incredibly informative, and filled with moments that felt special rather than rushed. If you’re even remotely interested in Iberian ham, food, or Spanish culinary traditions, this experience is an absolute must.

The walk about in the country on the farm was very much enjoyed as well. Beautiful day for it! The delicious meal we had was outstanding.

5.00Roger was an incredible host and planned the most perfect day for us. He arrived promptly at our hotel to escort us and was an absolute pleasure to get to know from the start. He has so much knowledge about food & wine as well as Spanish culture and local tips that he was eager to share. We toured a family owned Iberian ham producer (I wouldn’t even classify them as simply as a producer but rather a maker), had an impromptu visit to a ham festival, and enjoyed an amazing local lunch with Roger. Everything was perfect, but so real and authentic. I can’t wait to return and see Roger again. I’ve already recommended him and his tours to all of my friends! Thank you so much, Roger!

5.00We had a great time. Our Guide Daniel Fernando went to pick us up at the hotel at the agreed time and throughout the trip was very friendly and was talking about interesting customs and stories. We arrived at the Sierra de Aracena and visited an Iberian pig farm, went through the tour at the factory where the hams matured and then made an exquisite tasting! Highly recommended the tour for those who want to go beyond just eating one of the icons of Spanish gastronomy: the Iberian ham.

5.00This is hands down the BEST experience we had during our ten days in Spain. Roger is exceptionally knowledgeable about all things Spain, food and wine. He was prompt at picking us up from the hotel and drove so smoothly and safely the entire trip. It was so unique and memorable to visit a local farmer and experience his lifestyle. We saw the pigs, acorn trees, cork trees, lot of other farm animal and crops, and then visited another museum where we saw the entire process for curing the ham. Lastly we ended the tour with the BEST 5 course meal we had our entire time in Seville at a local restaurant with a delicious wine pairing. Cannot recommend enough.
I strongly recommend it along with 20 of my guests

5.00This review is long overdue! My wife and I got married in Sevilla in November 2022, and as part of our "friendsmoon," we booked a private ham tour for about 20 people. It was an amazing excursion—sharing a delicious local meal in the countryside with our family and friends, while learning all about the ham-making process, from how the pigs are raised to how the ham is cured. Our tour guide was fantastic, attentive to every detail and making sure the entire experience was seamless. As Americans, we had lots of questions before the tour, but once we arrived, everything was taken care of far beyond our expectations. I can't emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our time—it was truly one of the highlights of our wedding week!

5.00A most informative and enjoyable tour of a Iberian pig farm and iberico ham curing factory. Roger was a most delightful guide, providing lots of info on the iconic jamon of Spain and taking good care of us throughout the trip. We wanted to take another tour with Roger but as expected of such a good guide, Roger was already booked out in advance. Would definitely recommend anyone who is interested in iberico jamon to join this tour with Roger.

5.00Roger Davies is first class. All I wanted for my 50th birthday was to visit an Iberian pig farm and then eat the best ham in the world. This is an all day excursion. We spent a few hours walking around a beautiful farm and then were treated to a delicious tasting of their ham and chorizo with wine. We then visited a ham producer, had a tour of their facilities and then ended with another amazing ham tasting with wine. We then finished our day with a leisurely lunch in Aracena. It was a perfect day.
