Duration of the Northern Lights Chase: The Northern Lights chase typically lasts between 5 and 8 hours. The exact duration depends on several factors, including weather conditions, cloud coverage, and how far we need to drive to find clear skies and increase our chances of seeing the aurora. Some nights we get lucky and find a great spot early, while other nights require a longer journey — but we’re committed to giving you the best possible opportunity to witness this natural wonder.

5.00Fabian was an excellent guide – friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the aurora and local life, so the conversations during the drive were genuinely fun and engaging. The campfire stop was a real highlight, with a cozy atmosphere, great stories and plenty of time to enjoy the sky and take photos together. Overall, the experience felt very personal and well organized, and is easy to recommend to anyone looking for an intimate, small‑group northern lights outing.

5.00This was one amazing experience and right from start, the CEO of Legendary adventures was keeping us updated. On the day of the tour, the weather was pathetic in tromso so Aspen, the CEO Messaged me proactively to begin 1 hour early. Our delight started there itself. But the real element was Benjamin, our driver and guide who arrived in a 7 seater Mercedes van right at our doorstep much earlier. We left and immediately Ben said - we need to drive inland towards Finland. Throughout the way he kept stopping, sensing and checking cloud and other apps. He explained to us why Kp index is not an element to track and everything else also needs to be looked at. Finally, near the fin border, we got a sight of a lifetime. Ben graciously made hot chocolate and a black current tea that I cannot forget. We were back by 2 am having started at 6 pm. This tour has utmost comfort, amazing tracking skills of Ben and once a lifetime experience.

He clearly explained where we would be traveling to, was well prepared having researched weather patterns and spent a lot of time educating my family and I on all things Northern Lights. We got some great pictures and thoroughly enjoyed our tour! Highly recommend to anyone considering a private tour.

5.00Tracking the Northern lights was fun, and our guide, who was exceptional, did his best. We did see them, although only saw their colour on camera, which is the norm. Really recommend this trip. Fire after seeing the lights in the woods with a hot sausage - great end to a v enjoyable trip. Can't say enough about Fabian, our guide. He was a top man, thanks Fabian for you company and insight, truely made the experience great. X

5.00Our driver EIRIK really went out of his way to make our experience memorable, especially because it was my husband’s 40th birthday. We saw the most spectacular views of the Aurora Borealis. We will never forget this night thanks to him. Highly recommend him anytime. He will not disappoint. :)

5.00First of all understand the value of a chaser like Legendary Experiences and guide Erick before you book elsewhere. Weather conditions are volatile and cloud cover is transient. A bus takes you to a fixed point and maybe you see the lights as you stay in one spot. Expert chasers like these guys analyze maps, winds, etc and vastly increase your chances of seeing the northern lights. Bring your passport as they will go into Finland if needed. It’s a small group but last night showed the value. First safety. High winds, drifts and snow made driving hazardous but Erick was safe. Second he found three spots. Each one was better than the last. In the third he built a fire, cooked sausages and shared some amazing local chocolates. We got back safely around 130 but was able to sleep in the van. It was an incredible experience and I am grateful. My photos were wanting but he helped with settings as well. A real find
