Clay pigeon shooting stands out as a unique experience for a few key reasons, blending physical skill, mental focus, and a connection to both nature and tradition in a way that’s hard to replicate.
1. Dynamic Challenge: Unlike static target shooting, clay pigeons are moving targets, launched at speeds up to 50-70 mph and in unpredictable arcs (especially in sporting clays).
2. Immersion in the Outdoors: Most clay shooting happens on ranges set in natural landscapes—fields, forests, or hills.
3. Variety and Adaptability: Each discipline (skeet, trap, sporting clays) offers a different flavor.
4. Instant Feedback: When you hit a clay, it shatters spectacularly mid-air—there’s no guessing if you succeeded.
5. Social and Solitary Balance: It’s often a group activity, with shooters rotating through stations, trading tips or friendly banter.
6. Skill Progression: Beginners can enjoy it with basic instruction (hitting a clay isn’t as hard as it looks), but mastering it takes years.

About the experience: This is a clay shooting experience using an over-under shotgun. Clay pigeon shooting is a sport where participants use shotguns to shoot at flying targets, known as "clays". These targets are typically disc-shaped objects made of pitch and clay or similar materials, designed to shatter when hit. The clays are launched into the air by a machine called a trap, simulating the flight patterns of birds. It’s both a competitive sport and a recreational activity. Shooters aim to break the clays mid-flight, requiring skill in timing, aim, and handling firearms. The sport has several variations, including: • Skeet Shooting: Shooters move through a semicircle of stations, firing at clays launched from two fixed points (a high and low trap) in predictable patterns. • Trap Shooting: Targets are launched away from the shooter at varying angles from a single trap, testing accuracy and adaptability. • Sporting Clays: This involves a course with multiple stations, each offering unique target trajectories to mimic real hunting scenarios. *Important note: Display photos shows Paphos and Limassol clubs. In case you want to try the Limassol experience extra charges apply.
