This was the best excursion my husband and I have done by far. Claudia and her mother, Uma make this such a memorable experience. It is so precious and wholesome to be able to learn about local cuisine from a nationally recognized chef. We booked her cocoa tea class as well as this, and we did both back to back. She was so accommodating and endearing, I told her we will absolutely come back to see her when we visit next. Absolutely book this activity!

My partner and I were lucky enough to stumble upon this class and be taught by such lovely people. We made a variation of St Lucia’s national dish — green fig and saltfish — and it was delicious. All of the instructions were clear and easy to follow even for those without much culinary experience, like me. Once we booked the class, we were offered a long list of different dishes we could make. I am gluten intolerant, but that was no issue at all. I could still choose from all but two or three dishes from the list. Our host also was gluten free, which was very reassuring to hear and made me feel very safe to cook and eat the food. We were provided several different drinks and snacks throughout the experience. Also, as a lover of all things plantain, I shared this with our teacher, and she showed me a new way to prepare and fry them. This was not originally planned, so I was thrilled to be able to make plantains. We had a great time overall and would do it again in a heartbeat. I recommend this to all tourists in St Lucia. Not only do you get plenty of fresh, delicious food, but you also get to meet some incredibly kind people.

We had a wonderful experience learning how to cook a St. Lucian meal! Claudia was so sweet, patient, and organized and her kitchen and home are stunning! We had fun during the cooking class and also learned how to make a couple of local drinks! Food is such an important part of experiencing local culture when we travel so it was truly special to learn from Claudia and also be welcomed into her lovely home! Thank you, Claudia for such a memorable experience! Tout bagay bon!
