What To Expect
Casual swim lessons or triathlon swim training on Grand Cayman's famous Seven Mile Beach! Improve your stroke and technique to swim faster, and achieve your goals in a triathlon swim or open water swimming event! Each swimming session is different - thus the lesson is individually designed to suit your ability, stroke, technique, speed, and aerobic fitness - to help you conquer different conditions in the sea.

5.00Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Great session for beginners looking to learn and practice Triathlon specifics e.g buoy turns, sighting etc. Session was paced out perfectly. Kara was awesome! Exactly what I was looking for.

5.00My adult son Oliver and I took a training seeking with Kara. Kara was excellent at communicating and scheduling this very personalized training. Although reasonable swimmers with some sprint tris long ago Kara created a uniquely tailored training session for both of us. Do take this training no matter what level of swimming Kara will make it work and you will experience improvement. We especially liked the combination of fitness training, improvement of technique and learning about mechanics of swimming and triathlons. Training occurred on a beach which Kara carefully chose. The entire experience was so good that we are scheduling a follow up. Looking for something different, tailored to you and gives you a bit of fun coached exercise? Then give this a ‘tri’.

5.00I am not a triathlete, but always wanted to learn how to swim in open water. Kara was fantastic! She had tons of tips and guidance to turn something that scared me into such a fun experience! I also randomly asked to learn butterfly stroke and she helped me there as well! I am 38 and have always been scared of trying butterfly in public. I now swim butterfly laps at my public pool! I hope to stay in touch with Kara and sign up for an open water swim now. I have a new hobby :)

5.00An absolute highlight of my very extended stay in Cayman (thank you Covid!) was learning how to swim with Kara! She was an incredibly patient, competent, encouraging and fun coach. I always looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed our sessions. Hopefully the borders will re-open soon and others can experience this too!

5.00My boyfriend and I are on two different levels of swimming (I am beginner level and my boyfriend is a triathlete). Kara did a great job at coordinating our lessons at the same time. I am now able to thread water, float, and swim a lot better!
