Being greeted by the English speaking driver-guide at the lobby of your accommodation in Zurich City, you will head to discover the Cultural Capital of Switzerland - Basel later to the charming town of Colmar in France.

Basel boasts a wealth of cultural, historical, leisure, and enjoyable experiences.

Upon arrival, you will stroll to the town hall, the Congress Hall, Tinguely Fountain, Cathedral Hill, and the winding streets of the well-preserved old town. Afterwards, you may relax on the Rhine River while having a boat trip.

Also, Basel is famous for its fine chocolates and sweets; thus, after tasting some samples, we can proceed to Colmar in France. This small city is showcasing the lifestyle of the whole Alsace region. You will be amazed by half-timbered houses dating back to the 16th century, namely Adolf and Pfister houses and “Little Venice” on the list of must-see while visiting Colmar. After an exciting day, private return to the initial meeting point in Zurich.

Basel City tour includes a stroll to the Congress Hall, Old Town, Rathaus building - the Town Hall, Tinguely Fountain, Elisabethen Church, Basel Minster. - View the Rhine River and the town from the observation terrace of Pfalz, among other sights. - You must try Basel’s famous biscuits "Basler Leckerli Biscuit”.

Colmar

A stroll at the old town of Colmar to admire the half-timbered buildings, tiny alleys, all is a pedestrian center and everything is so colorful. - Visit “Petite Venise” (the little Venise) - here the half-timbered buildings along the canal. - Adolf house, considered as one of the oldest in Colmar. - Pfister House - the design of this house dates back to the Middle Ages with facade paintings, and much more. You can also have a break in one of the finest Colmar cafes.

We enjoyed our tour of Colmar/Basel with our guide Bogdan and learned a lot about both cities. Bogdan was knowledgeable, attentive and flexible with requests and the car was comfortable. Overall is was a fun and interesting day, definitely recommend for a stress free adventure.

The reservation process was extremely easy and convenient. And their communication is the best at every stage of my trip. Our driver, Daniel was waiting for us when we exited customs and we enjoyed a nice drive to our hotel with him. We had a wonderful experience and would use AlpTransfer Switzerland for our personal, private transfer needs every time.

We had the best day with Paul as our guide! He picked us up right at our door and we traveled to a neat town in Switzerland, followed by spending the majority of our time in beautiful Colmar, France. The Christmas markets were packed and it was such a fun, exciting experience. We would highly recommend this tour, especially if Paul can be your guide! He was very knowledgeable and professional.

Just finished a full day trip from Zurich to the Christmas Markets in Strasbourg, Riquewihr, and Colmar with Alp Excursion. We requested a few changes from their standard tour, and they were happy to accommodate us. Our driver/guide Paul was THE BEST!! Paul had the day planned out perfectly so that we were able to see 3 of the best markets in one day. Paul was also extremely informative and a pleasure to talk to. We truly enjoyed our time with him and had many laughs while driving to our destinations. I definitely recommend Alp Excursion for any tour or transportation in and around Switzerland!! They exceed all expectations!! Thank you Paul and Alp Excursion for an awesome day!!

We actually had ride from Basel to Zurich airport but that wasn’t an option. Our driver Paul was great. There was an accident on the main highway and he took us through neighborhoods and back roads to get us to the airport on time. I left my phone on the ship and he immediately called the ship and handed me his phone. He also offered to send my phone back to me, but Viking handled that. He was great!

Trip was perfect, Basel was a nice small town to know with delicious pretzels, but when we reached Colmar was just outstanding, You will love this beautiful French Village! Plus our guide Paul was great. 100% recommended.
