Fun few hours! The rainforest tour was interesting as well as learning about the cacao bean. The included lunch was very good. Be prepared for a workout making your chocolate bar! Note: the walk up from the rainforest is steep and with the heat it was a struggle for some people.

Such a cool and unique experience! I loved seeing how the cacao beans grow and learning about the process of making chocolate. The guides were great and the tour was very well run. Pounding the chocolate is definitely an arm workout! After the workshop you get to enjoy a lovely lunch in a beautiful setting. Agree with reviews that said to wear good shoes for walking in the jungle, as well as bug spray etc. A must do in Saint Lucia !

This a nice excursion to Hotel Chocolat where you visit the site and take a tour and learn the process of how chocolate is made! You get to walk thru the site and observe how the plants are grown and observe plants in the fields. Also included is lunch and you get to make your own chocolate! Recommended for chocolate lovers!

Excellent knowledge of the cocoa making process. Small group tours. From start to finish it was great. Very knowledgeable staff, great opportunity to view several species of plants in their forest. Making the chocolate was great fun. Lunch was good too.

Lovely experience, great to hear the cooperation between Hotel Chocolat and local farmers. Really enjoyed both the rainforest walk and the chocolate making (even if it did require a lot of pounding!)

This was a great experience to walk through the process of growing cocoa trees and actually MAKING chocolate. Our guide (John) was very informative and friendly. The explanatory and rainforest garden portions were lovely and the actual chocolate making is INTENSE—your arms will get a workout! While it was fun to have the experience of making your own, you really appreciate the difference in refining chocolate that comes with machines—our homemade bars were fun but… our hand-ground texture left a lot to be desired! The food combinations with cacao were nice, although it hadn’t been clear to me that the included lunch is either consumed BEFORE the tour (some people arrived quite early for lunch apparently) or afterwards… Bear this in mind if you are combining activities! It was also not clearly explained what the included lunch actually included… we had to ask in the food court area, and there are many options there that are NOT included/are an extra cost. The cocktails are nice and we had a fun time with the bartender but they are very much on the sweet side and are an extra $15 USD per cocktail. For my gin-loving palate, I didn’t really taste much cacao in the gin to warrant taking a bottle home.

Had an excellent morning walking in the plantation and making our own chocolate. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention to Nathan our tour guide who was very knowledgeable and funny. Go for the longer tour it’s well worth it!!
