Horseback riding through the Estancia 25 de Mayo Nature Reserve, where you can feel the vastness of the Patagonian fields, discovering canyons, streams and stories of the southern gauchos, enjoying a camping lunch in the Cave of the stream. The starting point is the hull of Estancia 25 de Mayo, where we will give a brief technical talk, and after equipping ourselves with helmets and gaiters, we will leave from the pens to the south, crossing the Canyon of Calafate Creek. On our way we will cross streams and geological formations that evidence the passage of millions of years. The canyon that these rocks form repairs us from the characteristic winds of the region, while we gain height on our route. After an hour and a half of riding we arrive at the Cave of the stream, where the gauchos in charge of the crossing prepare us a rich camper lunch. To complete the experience, we are offered a toast with wine, and then return to the helmet of Estancia 25 de Mayo.

Truly memorable experience, the landscapes are surreal, it feels like being inside a movie, having lunch inside the cave was spectacular too, the horses are obedient and Ignacio and Rachel were great guides that enhanced our already unforgettable experience. Really recommend it as you can sense the landscape from a close perspective rather than just contemplating from a distance, you can integrate yourself with it.

Absolutely unforgettable experience in epic landscape with the sweetest and very well cared for horses, delightful cave lunch (including vegetarian options) prepared by our darling guide Ignacio, and particularly delightful and fun river and stream crossings. Compared to a lot of El Calafate offerings, this experience was thrilling and didn't feel touristy at all. Would absolutely do again, many times, and recommend warmly!

Very different than the plain riding we did the week before. Much slower but also very interesting and exciting. Having our gaucho lunch in the wild was a great touch.

Very nice but very expensive. Well developed tourism and cater well to visitors. I recommend eating a grilled lamb.

First positive note the horses, cared for and in good health. The walk is very nice and our guide Carolina smiling and enthusiastic. Several river crossings in a beautiful landscape. Stop in a cave with barbecue of meat and vegetables, both excellent, and return by the same road. A total of over four of the most beautiful hours spent here. Not to be missed

don't bring anything with you and prepare for a great adventure. I had a wonderful time riding the horse and seeing incredible views along the way. The guide was so nice and helpful. Lunch was amazing and in a great place. It provided a nice break in between rides. Definitely one of the best excursions

Where to begin? This experience was truly incredible. From the gorgeous scenery, to the beautiful and gentle horses, to the delicious food — we couldn’t have asked for more. Diego, our guide, was phenomenal. He was a human encyclopedia — he taught us about Argentina history, local flora and fauna, culture and tradition of the region, and, of course, horseback riding! We will be cherishing these memories for years to come.
