What To Expect
Bo-kaap
A popular daytime destination, hillside Bo-Kaap is known for its narrow cobbled streets lined with colorful houses. Local Cape Malay culture is represented at sites like the 1790s-built Auwal Mosque and the Bo-Kaap Museum, with exhibits about the achievements of Muslim immigrants. Nearby, simple restaurants serve curries, roti and other Cape Malay dishes. The Noon Gun cannon is fired daily at midday from Signal Hill.
Robben Island Museum
We will start this amazing experience with a pick up from your hotel at approximately 08H00 en route to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island for a 3 to 4-hour experience. Skip the line of buying the tickets as this tour will have your pre-booked ticket ahead of time. Please take note that Robben Island Museum reserved the right to cancel any given tour at their own discretion. In the case of cancellation, you will be entitled to a full refund or an option to reschedule. Your guide-driver will not escort you to the Island as they have their own guides. You will be on the boat with other people. You will be given a full tour by an ex-prisoner.

5.00Mr. Poblano was very professional and had great manners. He was well educated on several matters and the history of Cape Town. He was eager to share information, especially when he knew his customers were interested. We were taken to an excellent restaurant of his choosing as well as stopping by an art shop that was very interesting where he shared more historical insights. I would gladly recommend him for any of his listed suggestions. Our day with him was indeed a pleasure.

5.00Robben Island is closed at the moment so quite disappointed that Viator let us book this trip anyway as we booked it recently. However our guide took us to some other great places instead and we had a great day out.

5.00Paul was absolutely amazing! Robben island was closed for maintenance throughout our journey so he called us and gave us a tailored itinerary and walked us through everything. He is extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much from him. It was so amazing we booked him for a private tour the next day to go down the coast to cape of good hope and do that whole tour. 10/10 would recommend Paul to anyone!
