A poorly curated mixture of many exhibits. No red thread visible. Many exhibitions closed. This should be brought to your attention. Many things broken: Lifts, lighting, interactive displays, ... Dirty. Staff unfriendly. Poor signage. A waste of time!

Huge museum, allow lots of time. We had about 5 hours which was nothing like enough. We left the ground floor till last and came back another day because it's free to visit the ground floor.

I was browsing things to do in Toronto when I found that ROM had not only tours, but specialized "Haunted" tours for October! I bought my tickets (I believe CA$28 plus CA$5 for the tour) and headed to the museum. The entrance was gorgeous, but confusing. Some of the museum is free (the first floor) and you need to constantly show your entry ticket to get into most of the rest of the museum which was a little annoying. I ended up spending about 3 hours in the museum, including the tour, and it was honestly a lot more fun than I expected. Our haunted tour guide really got into the theme and took us to some parts of the museum that could seem to be glazed over normally. Honestly, if every tour was like that I would go to each themed one they've got. Well worth the visit, especially on a rainy day.

On our final day we spent a few hours exploring the Royal Ontario Museum and the many and varied exhibits it has to offer. At the end of the day Im a big kid so the dinosaurs are always the draw but there is so much more here. Spread over four floors the majority of the action takes place on floors 2 and 3, where you will find a wide variety of areas dedicated to Ancient Greece to Egypt to Eart Treasures to the Dawn Of Life Gallery theres something for everyone. The museum is clean and tidy and although we did have a little trouble following the map it is well laid out and with the differing displays there is something for everyone.

Plan to spend 2-3 hours at the Museum. We attended when a couple attractions were closed but still enjoyed the experience.

Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto is a world-class destination blending art, culture, and natural history. With over six million artifacts, its highlights include towering dinosaur skeletons, Ancient Egypt’s mummies, Indigenous art, and glittering gems and the modern bold Michael Lee-Chin Crystal adds modern flair. Other thab permanent galleries, rotating exhibitions bring fresh global perspectives, while interactive displays engage all ages. Located in Bloor-Yorkville, the ROM is both an educational hub and an inspiring attraction, offering unforgettable insights into human heritage and the natural world.
