Our tour guide Derek arrived promptly at our pre-arranged meeting point outside our hotel. Derek was friendly, approachable and as the tour progressed we realised that he had vast knowledge and expertise in the history of Salamanca. He was open to customising the tour to cover areas which we were particularly interested in, alongside historical points of interest. The history of the city was discussed from the Pre-Roman period to Post Renaissance. Each building was developed in the context of its age, importance, architect and inhabitant alongside interesting facts which related to other buildings. At the end of the tour, we felt inspired to research more into the history of the city. We would whole heartedly recommend this tour and Derek our guide.

This company does not provide professional tour guides. Reading the details of the content is highly recommended. Our "guide" was a student from the Philippines who had been two years in the country. She kept pointing out buildings and their names, but she wasn't able to provide any additional information about them. So if you are looking for a "normal" tourist guide who knows the history and tells stories. This is not it. In addition to that, the person was not really local.

We enjoyed ourselves listening to the history and stories about Salamanca. Deborah did a very nice job taking us around the city and sharing bits of info as we walked. She was very kind, patient and helpful.

The tour was really interesting and went to parts of Salamanca that we would not have been to without a guide. The tour guide knew his stuff and his English was very good. We find having a private guide is much better than large groups even though it is a bit more expensive.

Derek was a great guide We were given a relaxed tour covering all the major sites in the old city. He also provided historical perspective so you got a taste of how Salamanca featured in Spanish history. If you are a first time visitor it’s well worth spending the money on this tour to familiarise your self with this lovely ancient seat of learning.

I do not recommend this provider or this service. We got paired with "a local" but he didn't have any knowledge about the city other than the location of the main sites on Google Maps. He had to use their phone when we asked them questions. He also asked to cut the tour short, which we chose to do because he wasn't making it interesting. I asked for a partial refund which the provider Lokafy refused.

Our guide Noemí is a local and she gave us a custom tour of Salamanca that we will never forget. From seeing Salamanca from across the river after the storm, to finding the frog on the school at the university and the astronaut at the cathedral facade, the tour was full of insights, history and stories. The cherry on top was finding La Tuna rehearsing at a bar in the students district. Truly recommended.

It was more than just a sight seeing tour. Our guide Deborah was lovely and made our tour of Salamanca very special through her eyes as a student of the university. She took us to all corners of the old town of Salamanca and showed us the city through her eyes. We highly recommend this tour! We hope you get Deborah. She was absolutely delightful.
