Santo Domingo is the oldest city in the New World. We invite you to learn about its History, visiting its Colonial Monuments, which are among the most important in America.
Our tour begins by visiting “The Three Eyes,” a combination of Caverns and Lakes, which have a high sulfur content and indescribable beauty.
Then we continue to the Colonial Zone, where the most important and imposing buildings from the Colonization period are located. We will walk along Las Damas Street, visiting the National Pantheon and the Primate Cathedral of America, the first in the New World.
There will be free time in Conde Peatonal and Calle Las Damas to walk and/or buy some souvenirs, since there is a wide variety of typical crafts, Mamajuana, Rom, Tobacco, and then arrive at the Restaurant and taste a delicious Dominican Lunch:
Then we will have two more Panoramic visits: from the Lighthouse to Colon.

Was a really fun day, long bus ride. Great tri lingual guide, who did a great job at keeping us safe. Please be aware though that the listing says 9 hours but it was closer to 12. We missed our 7pm dinner reservation. We had a stop at a market on the way home, the driver said 20 minutes but it was closer to 40 with how long everyone took. Loved the 4d movie, and lunch was really good. It was nice to have free time, but again the tour guide told us 1 hour and people took longer. We did stop walking early every block to take a head count (probably could have done it a bit less frequently, but I understand the safety concern).

Starting with the positives, the driver of the big bus did an amazing job. The bus was clean and comfortable. The group of people on the tour were very nice, especially with as large as the group was. On the way there and throughout the tour, there were multiple places to use the restroom. The architecture through the historical portion was beautiful. The lunch provided was decent and filling. My main issue with the tour was how the information was presented. I enjoy learning about history and culture. I left this tour learning nothing due to the language barrier. We were on the tour with English, Spanish, and Italian speakers. The guide spent 90% speaking Spanish, 8% Italian and 2% English. The portions that were in English were led into from another language so completely without context. During the tour the English speakers were asked to go with another gentleman whom we found did not speak English at all. It was very frustrating to say the least. I would not recommend this tour if Spanish is not your first language. Perhaps the other guides are better at relaying the information, but Kelvin is not that guide.

We went Jan 2, which for tour groups is a crowded time because most groups do not operate on New Years Day. Anyway, we were picked up at 7:15 am, and did not return until around 8:00pm. So, the 9 hour approximation was not accurate. Also, more than half the time is spent on the bus - it's not just the five hours total commute to and from Santo Domingo, but also stopping at other resorts to pick up and drop off other tourists. I went on a busy group tour day, so it may have been more than normal. But, our tour group which had to stay together was a mostly full coach bus. Anyway, all of the stops were cool and the tour guide provided interesting information, but every stop seemed a bit rushed because of the itinerary. Again, not the tour guide or tour company's fault, it's due to the structure / time constraints of the trip when you're going SD from PC. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, multi-lingual, and disciplined (you had to be with such a large group). And we hit the most significant places and lunch was tasty. But if I had a do-over with scarce vacation time, I would have maybe paid more for a smaller group and less bus time. Or even better, I would have rented a hotel for 2-3 days in Santo Domingo, to really explore and take my time, and then hop a bus to Punta Cana to relaxingly finish out the vacation.

Our tour guide, Jesus, was fantastic. It was definitely a long ride from punta cana but it was well worth it. Met great people on the tour and learned a lot. Beautiful city would highly recommend. Bring an umbrella just in case!

Our guide was extremely attentive, friendly, rich in information about the tours... It is worth it, the time on the bus and half boring, but has nothing to do has to go and get to know

Great Tour Experience! We visited several amazing places, just as described in the tour. Although the commute was a bit long, it was definitely worth it for the natural and historic sites we explored. The guides were informative and made the experience enjoyable. The food wasn’t the highlight, but it was decent.

We recently took a day trip to Santo Domingo, and while the city itself offers a lot of fascinating history and beautiful architecture, the overall tour experience was a bit disappointing. To start with the positives: the historical sites in Santo Domingo were definitely worth seeing. The Colonial Zone, Alcázar de Colón, and Catedral Primada were highlights. Our guide provided some good insights, and it was clear there's a lot of rich culture to take in. The Tour guide was also very informative and attentive to his group. However, the organization of the tour left much to be desired. The pickup and drop-off process was chaotic and uncoordinated, with a lot of waiting around and no clear communication. We spent more time than necessary just figuring out logistics, which cut into the time we could have spent enjoying the city. What was most frustrating, though, was the last two hours spent at basically two vendor shops. It felt less like a cultural experience and more like a commercial agreement between the tour company and the vendors. We would have preferred that time be spent exploring more of the city or enjoying a local meal, rather than being corralled into shopping for such a long time. Overall, Santo Domingo is definitely worth visiting, but this particular tour could use better structure and a more balanced itinerary. A little more focus on the actual destination and what additionally may be offered over the detours for shopping would go a long way.

Good excursion, a nice way to discover San Domingo. A little more free time would have been better. Pick-up schedule respected. Very kind and competent guide.

Nathan is a knowledgeable guide. He provided great and historical information along the tour. Also, he translated all information in English.

The tour fully covered the historic places of Santo Domingo, travel time was good and we had enough time to explore each stop. Our tour guide (Francisco) was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. He also did the tour in Spanish, English, & French! Our driver was very friendly too although I did not catch his name. The cave location is super humid the deeper you go so keep that in mind and FYI you cannot swim in Los Tres Ojos. The site was very beautiful. We also got to see the President drive into the Palace while being escorted by the Dominican “Secret Service”, all around pretty cool experience. The lunch is traditional Dominican food and there is a dance show during as well. There was also about 45 minutes of free time to look walk around the Plaza area. If you can I’d plan what you’d like to see ahead of time, but the jewelry shop has very nice options with the natural stone of RD. I would recommend packing: A light bag, hand sanitizer, cold water, sunscreen, sunglasses, good walking shoes, clothing made for humidity, a battery powered mini fan if you get hot easy. Overall, I would recommend this tour :)
