Let me show you the Bridgetown I was born and raised in just as I remember it. For 2 hours, I would love to share my most treasured and intimate memories of travelling around the island with my father. Come explore the shores and forts with me as I share interesting facts only a local would know. Hear about the Father of Independence as we travel the quaint town to the “Bridge” and absorb in the beauty of ancient buildings as well as commercial and religious spaces of the beloved Bridgetown.
Also get to interact with locals as we pass vendors in the streets as well as the famous Barbados rum shops. And not to mention the natural scenery, the breathtaking flora and fauna. A little snack helps pass the time as you get a nibble of the sweetness that makes up the people known as Barbadians. We give you a sample of this rich town so that you can write your story “Once upon a time in Bridgetown...”

We are in the tropics, therefore we recommend a hat and rain gear in the event of excessive heat and or rain.

5.00Prior to even going on the tour we corresponded via email at length about the options for a private tour and if we could meet at time a time better suited for us..... which was no problem! After spending the morning at a beach club we walked to our meeting spot and met the owner, Barbara! She's fantastic btw! She took us around to all the sights, telling stories along the way. Definitely recommend!

5.00Excellent tour. Our guide was great and answered all questions! The only problem we had was hearing him and that was not his fault. It was very windy which affected the mic and traffic was heavy!

5.00Amazing tour had the nicest host ever and learnt so much about the historic city of Bridgetown and Barbados as a whole. I got goose bumps at the end when they said the national anthem by the historic bridge at the end "I pledge allegiance to my country Barbados and to my flag to uphold and defend their honour and by my living to do credit to my nation where ever I go*

5.00We had a wonderful time with our tour guide Deborah who was friendly cheery and funny. We walked through downtown Barbados stopping at historic sites while Deborah gave us detailed history of the country. Great morning trip!

5.00I was interested in booking the "development of a city" tour but the times and dates available didn't fit into my itinerary. I email Chattel tours and to my immense pleasure they were able to provide the tour for me at a different date/time at no extra charge. Alex was my private tour guide around Bridgetown for 2.5 hours and he was knowledgeable, easy to talk to and encouraged me to ask questions-and was able to answer them all! He was also funny. I took several excursions while in Barbados and this one was a great value and exceptional experience. Tours I payed nearly 3X the amount did not compare. I highly suggest this to anyone who has an interest in history and learning a little bit more about Bridgetown. Thanks Alex and thanks Chattel Tours!
