This tour is for Cruise Ship passengers arriving in Picton, New Zealand
Explore New Zealand's premier wine region on this 5-6 hr tour from Picton. Visit four different wineries in the Marlborough wine region and visit the boutique Chocolate Factory, stroll through the vineyards, and sample wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. This small-group tour is limited to 11 people and it is tailored to the needs of people coming off the Cruise Ships who may have different timing requirements to our standard daily tours.
please Note : There is no Cruise Terminal in Picton so all passengers must disembark the ship onto shuttle buses to the Picton I Site where we meet all tour particpants

What To Expect
Our tour takes in visits to 4 cellar doors - one of which is a lunch stop ( at your expense on the day) and stops at the boutique Chocolate shop as well.

5.00From start to finish this tour was great ! Having our host and driver was informative, courteous and very friendly. We visited 5 wineries all set in beautiful locations. We tried roughly 26 different wines and still made it back to our ship on time! Highly recommend this tour.

5.00This was a great trip that took in 4 wineries in the region, with tasting of 4 or 5 different wines at every stop. The people explaining the wines/grapes/process were very knowledgable throughout, as was our guide Keith. Beautiful scenery was a bonus. Highly recommended.

4.00Overall, a good experience, but a few things stopped it being 5/5. The group was difficult (a number of people didn't enjoy wine, on a wine tour??), and while this obviously isn't the fault of the guide, it seemed to sap their confidence a little bit, to the detriment of the rest of us who were really interested. The audio equipment in the van wasn't working properly, so the guided commentary was often inaudible. This wasn't the fault of the guide, but more of a company maintenance issue. The places we visited were generally pretty good, but at a couple of them the tastings were extremely brief, and we felt a bit like cattle. We enjoy wine tours because we get to learn about the region, the wines made, the vineyards themselves, and the history.

5.00We loved that this was a “small group” tour. We were a group of 10 people in a small van . We visited 4 wineries. Our tour guide Gavin did a great job ! I highly recommend this tour. The vineyards are all beautiful!

5.00We booked this wine region tour separate to our cruise. A number of things stand out. Firstly, our driver, Bob, was excellent. Not only did he drive safely as you would expect, he explained a number of things about the area and stopped on the way to the first winery to point out a memorial to a battle site. We visited four wineries, all of which were superb in their own way. The tour also provided a voucher for lunch, which made things easy between winery tours. Finally, Bob made sure we were back on the ship in good time. One of the outstanding days of our 13 night cruise. Highly recommended.

5.00Unmissable experience. The scenery is breathtaking. Gavin, our driver and guide for the day was superb. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The 4 vineyards we visited along with the tastings, 4 wines at each one, were all different ending with a very nice, albeit quite pricey, lunch at the last. The tour also included a visit to the chocolate factory where you can see them being hand made.
