What a highlight for our trip. The cooking class was wonderful. Annalisa is a modern, intelligent, amusing and interesting Sicilian woman. You get the best cooking experience, but you also get the best experience in being with a genuine Sicilian woman who makes you feel welcome in her home. Our time together will not be forgotten.

At 10 am we were welcomed by Annalisa, our heart-warming hostess for the next few hours, we had booked a Sicilian cooking workshop with her. In a homely environment, she has adapted her interior to the time when her “nonna” cooked, so back in time, great. Under the guidance of Annalisa, we made delicious pasta sauce, pasta, a stuffed fish (including raisins, pine nuts, garlic) and a delicious almond nougat. After the fun and educational cooking workshop, we enjoyed a delicious meal with the results of our cooking skills while enjoying a delicious wine and Annalisa's stories. This activity, which takes about 4 hours, is an absolute recommendation for travelers who have Favare within traveling distance, an unforgettable experience of Italian cuisine.

Annalisa was a great tour guide and the cooking class was a blast! Made our own pasta and tiramisu which we ate for lunch. A little wine to go along with everything, livened the party.

Our cooking class with Annalisa exceeded our expectations! Annalisa is such a lovely person and a superb teacher and cook. She greeted us with her homemade limoncello in her beautiful home, and made us feel extremely comfortable. The menu was perfecto! We learned how to make pasta the healthy Sicilian way using only semolina wheat, finished with local fava beans that we peeled and cooked with onion, then mixed with sheep’s ricotta cheese. And if that was not enough, we also made stuffed calamari! Tremendous! It is Easter week so for dessert we learned how to make the traditional pascal lamb. So much fun to eat our meal with Annalisa and the local wine she serves with the meal went perfectly. We highly recommend this 5 star experience!!!

There is not so much to describe. She is doing this at her home. You get the best one authentically view into the sicily home kitchen. You will be provided through all steps necessary to prepare a real sicily meal. Annalisa is really very communicative and friendly person. So anytime I would do that again and again.

Annalisa is many wonderful things- a host, a cooking teacher, an entertainer and a wonderful person. She welcomed us outside her flat and gave us a short story about herself and Favara. Then she welcomed us into her home and it is a home. We had a relaxed atmosphere, learned how to prepare and then cooked pasta with an incredible pesto m, tiramisu and swordfish involtini. It was all delicious. The local wine was outstanding as well as her father’s olive oil and limoncello. Do it!

My adult daughter and I visited Sicily to retrace our roots. Taking this class was a lot more like visiting family. We were welcomed into her home like old friends. We stood around the kitchen counter cooking and talking like I would have done if I were visiting my family. Then we all sat down to dinner, we ate drank wine and laughed again so different then the typical tourist attraction. I felt like I belonged there. I highly recommend this experience.
