Pompeii Archaeological Park
Follow your guide through the site of Pompeii. You will discover the Forum, that was the heart of Pompeii and surrounded by important public buildings, including the Basilica, the Temple of Jupiter, and the Macellum (food market), the Forum provides insights into the civic life of Pompeii.
Teatro Grande
The Large Theatre was built by exploiting the natural slope of the hill for the construction of the auditorium. The staircase was separated into three areas with corridors, which were in turn divided into five sectors, and was based on a passage with a barrel vault. It was built around the middle of the 2nd century BC and significantly restored according to the Roman stlye. An inscription, visible at the entrance of the corridor that provides access to the east and that is one of the very few representations known with reference to the name of the architects, recalls the works carried out in the Augustan age by Marcus Artorius Primus.

Guide is necessary for most to get perspective of a quite large site. The attraction is very busy. I thought that mid week late October would have modest crowds but that was not the case. Our guide was quite knowledgeable

We took this Pompeii tour from Sorrento with a small group, and it was a fantastic experience. The size of the group made it easy to hear the guide and ask questions, which really added to the experience. The tour was well-paced and covered all the main highlights, including the forum, baths, and several preserved houses. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, sharing interesting stories and historical context that brought the ruins to life. It was also well-organized and easy to follow. Highly recommended if you want a more personal and in-depth look at Pompeii.

We were not staying at one of their normal pickup spots. The tour company worked with us to find a close location we could walk to. That was the first moments of delightful customer service. As we waited at the pickup location the office kept us apprised of when the bus would arrive. Above and beyond to make sure foreigners were comfortable. Our ride to Pompeii was filled with lots of local information. The tour of Pompeii with our tour guide Giada, was warm, informative and she was patient with our teen’s questions. Throughly enjoyed this tour.

A bus picked us up at central location in Sorrento and drove us to Pompeii for the guided walking tour. Our guide was very good and pointed out interesting sights and facts during the bus ride and throughout the Pompeii tour. The tour goes through the basics and we were back at about 1pm. The bathroom or bottle of water were available for $1 each. This was exactly what we wanted. Thank you!

Bus was comfortable, guide at Pompeii was excellent, very knowledgeable, headset worked very well. Very well organized and interesting tour. Not sure you would get as much out of visiting if you didn’t have a tour guide to bring you through the ruins. 2 1/2 hours of walking around the grounds was an excellent time frame.

Pompeii was excellent. The pick up and bus was perfect. The guide was a bit "pre school " like. He could have given more information .. But all good.

The tour and the guide of Pompei was excellent. Bus driver as well. I completely enjoyed the trip, one comment about the trip back, I do believe the bus should have just made one stop back in Sorrento at the bus stop. Making all of those additional stops increased the trip by an hour and half.
