Dongbaekseom
Dongbaekseom (Camellia Island): This charming island at the edge of Haeundae offers one of the most scenic coastal walks in Busan. As you stroll along the beautiful beach and rocky shoreline, you’ll be surrounded by lush camellia trees and pine forests that create a peaceful, refreshing atmosphere. The path leads you to the APEC House, a striking architectural landmark built for the 2005 APEC Summit. From here, you can enjoy sweeping views of the sparkling ocean and the iconic Diamond Bridge stretching across the water. - The walk is approximately 1 km (0.6 miles) along a well‑maintained wooden deck that includes a few stair sections. If you prefer an easier route, a flat alternative path is also available, making the experience enjoyable for all visitors. - The time spent at each location may vary depending on the group’s pace.
Haeundae Dalmaji-gil Road
Dalmaji-gil (Moontan Road): This scenic hillside next to Haeundae Beach is known as Dalmaji-gil, or Moontan Road, a beloved spot for both locals and visitors. As you drive along the winding coastal road, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the deep blue ocean, pine-covered slopes, and the striking line of modern skyscrapers that shape Haeundae’s skyline. In spring, the road becomes even more magical as the cherry blossom lane bursts into bloom, creating a beautiful pink canopy along the way. It’s one of the most picturesque drives in Busan, offering a perfect blend of nature and city scenery.

Our Busan city tour was absolutely unforgettable thanks to our wonderful guide, William. From the moment the tour began, his warm personality, humor, and deep knowledge made the entire day feel effortless and exciting. We visited so many beautiful and iconic places across Busan, including Dongbaekseom Island, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Songdo Skywalk, Gamcheon Culture Village, Jagalchi Market, BIFF Square, and Gukje Market. Each stop was perfectly timed, and William made sure we had plenty of opportunities to explore, take photos, and really soak in the atmosphere. What made this tour extra special was how informative William was—not just about Busan’s history and culture, but also about everyday life living in Busan. Hearing his personal experiences gave the tour a genuine and local perspective that you simply can’t get from guidebooks. I’m currently recovering from a knee injury, and William went above and beyond to make sure the routes were manageable and comfortable for me without ever making me feel like I was missing out. He thoughtfully suggested easier paths while still ensuring I experienced the best views and highlights at every stop. That level of care and attentiveness meant so much and made the day incredibly enjoyable. He also gave us free time at each destination so we could explore at our own pace, shop, snack, and take lots of photos. The balance between guided information and personal time was perfect. William truly made our Busan experience memorable. He was funny, kind, accommodating, and incredibly knowledgeable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Busan. Thank you, William, for such a wonderful day! 🌊

Peter was very punctual for our hotel pickup. He tailored the order of the itinerary to our group. We were 3 in our family and another 2 joined as well. Peter was very kind, and a great photographer - he knew all the good places and we learned some photography techniques! He grew up at Gamcheon village so had many personal stories that really touched our hearts. We had a great time.

Peter was a very special guide. As a native from Busan, he shared information about his family from the DMZ, and what his childhood was like growing up in the Gamcheon Culture Village. It was so fascinating and took the tour to an elevated level. We were so grateful for the personal history rather than just a bunch of boring facts. Peter was also very considerate and up front about our lunch options and the associated costs to make sure we were not taken by surprise. Thank you Peter for a great introduction to Busan!

The tour itself was amazing but what’s note worthy is jade (tour guide) who went out of his way to book a hair appointment and translate for me.

Jino was an excellent driver and guide around Busan, and the tour overall was quite impressive. For a one-day tour, we did so much! The day started easy with a peaceful walk around the APEC meeting location on Camellia Island, which is beautiful both for its architecture and natural beauty and vistas. We were able to see Daemado Island from here, as it was a particularly clear day. Gorgeous! From there, we drove past beautiful vistas overlooking the ocean before visiting Haedong Yonggungsa Buddhist Temple, which was truly breathtaking. This is an incredible temple, and Jino was very knowledgeable about it and an excellent escort through its various hotspots and their history. Incidentally, a vendor was selling stir fried silkworm larvae nearby, which I’d been wanting to try — Jino helped point this out! Next, we went to Gamcheon Culture Village, which was beautiful and scenic. I recommend descending off the main road a little bit (carefully!) where you can visit the workshops (and shops) of local artisans. I found some beautiful handmade bracelets at a woman’s atelier there (Dan-Hong, I believe was the shop’s name). There’s also a photo opp with the Little Prince (budget ~25 min in line for this, which a colleague did), and a spot to get fortunes based on your Chinese Zodiac sign. As we were there in January, this was a perfect time to get one! Next, we went for lunch BIFF square / Gukje Market. We had lunch at a spot for jjajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce) and deep friend pork in spicy sauce which was even better than we imagined. There was time for a little shopping and bingsu after also. We then went to the Songdo Skywalk, which was a quite beautiful walk over the coast at Songdo beach. Excellent sweeping photos of the cable cars and shoreline. Finally, we stopped at Jagalchi Market, where you’ll be able to see freshly caught fish (and other sea life!) still swimming in tanks. As we’re a little on the adventurous side, Jino helped us locate a stall from which we could buy a fresh octopus to eat sashimi-style with sesame oil. A little unnerving, but delicious! From there, Jino dropped us off at our hotel. Truly an amazing excursion and very worth the price. On a more practical note, having a private driver (Jino!) was incredibly useful in Busan, as the sites are often difficult to access quickly without a car. Jino was an excellent tour guide/driver and I would be happy to have him again on a tour. He was knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful. Thanks so much!

The trip with Moon our guide has brought us very authentic Busan. Friendly, expert and patient he told us a lot about Busan and Korea. Always keeping an eye on our timeline. The comfortable vehicle and the small group (6 people) formed another recommended setting. All around a great thing!
