I spent time researching and am so glad I came across Ongo Food tours - we loved the tour with Chris. He was informative, attentive, looked after us and we enjoyed lots of superb Korean food with him. Great experience and you get to sit and eat in many of the locations joining in with the locals and skipping the queue at the BBQ restaurant was a win! Must do experience.

Chris was an amazing guide, he made the tour very memorable and was attuned to everyone’s needs to make sure they had a memorable evening. There was plenty of yummy food to try, don’t eat too much before you go. We highly recommend this food tour.

This tour exceeded my expectations. As a chef for almost 30 years I will eat most things, but that doesn’t mean they tasted good. So with all the choices and a language barrier where do you get the food that you will remember forever? Chris our tour guide knew all the best spots and it felt like hanging out with good friend and eating fantastic dishes. The alleyways we walked down were exciting and vibrant with good energy and a welcoming Korean community. My wife and I would never have thought of or found these “hidden gems”. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED AND WHY WE CAME TO SEOUL!! Worth every dollar and the some. THANK YOU CHRIS!!!!

Chris was a great guide, keeping our spirits up even in a freezing cold evening. We loved that the tour included food that we didn’t expect, giving us a taste of things we’d never seen or heard of before. 10/10 would recommend, especially if your guide is Chris.

The entire experience was terrific!! Our host, Chris, was friendly and engaged each of us in personal conversations throughout the evening to learn more about our interests and vacations. The locations he guided us to all had a cool vibe and, of course, the food was fantastic!!! Being with a small group, there were lots of fun conversations. Overall, it was an experience I loved and would definitely repeat when I return to South Korea.

This was a fun experience and good introduction to food around Seoul, including KBBQ and live octopus. Chris was very friendly and great to talk with. He took care of all the ordering and logistics so we could just enjoy the experience. He also gave us good recommendations for the rest of our time in Seoul.

Was a great tour to try different food. Especially K-BBQ which is rather difficult to eat alone in Seoul. Food was very delicious

We had a nice time walking through Insadong and Ikseon-dong sampling dumplings, Korean BBQ and desserts. There was lots to eat and Chris was a very chilled guide. The last stop for pancakes at Gwangjang market was a wasted opportunity as we passed by the interesting looking food stalls to go to a small cafe where the choice was fried pancakes with mung bean, pork, seafood or live octopus.

Fun experiencing trying some different street food. Insadong and the discovery of Ikesong for BBQ alley was fantastic before Gwangjang Market. Chris our guide was fantastic. It was like going out with a friend or a family member. Very relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommended
