  Even though the weather prevented us from getting in the water the captain did a great job. He made a lot of attempts to tie up to a buoy, but the wind was just too strong. Rather than saying that we went so he held up his end of the deal, he cancelled and refunded. A very good tour and he really tried to make it work.

  Captain Benoit is an experienced caring and compassionate person. He is very knowledgeable and truly loves interacting with people as well as the sea life he encounters every day! I was very nervous about getting in the water but with his patience and compassion he encouraged me and held my hand so I could believe in myself! IT WAS AWESOME!!! I am so happy I snorkeled with him and got to see so many beautiful creatures!! The sea cucumber, blowfish, starfish coral and many wonders!!! Captain Benoit is outstanding in every way !!! You must join him on his adventures!!!🫶☺️🐡🐠

  I highly recommend this snorkeling tour! Captain Benoit was fun, knowledgeable and safety oriented. He guided us through our time in the water; pointing out so many varieties of fish, sea cucumbers, anemones, starfish, a moray eel, burrowing clams, etc. I wouldn’t have even noticed most of these without him. We snorkeled over boat wrecks and a plane wreck. Captain Benoit took a ton of pictures of everything we saw and sent me a link to the photos the same day of the tour. It was one of the best snorkeling days ever. Book it!

  Captain Benoit is an exceptional captain and snorkel guide! My husband and I had an unforgettable experience with him—truly the best we've ever had. He’s fluent in both French and English, which makes things especially easy and enjoyable for U.S. travelers visiting Tahiti. We’ve snorkeled all over the world, and Captain Benoit stands out as the best paid guide we’ve encountered. He not only led us on an incredible underwater tour and shared fascinating insights as we snorkeled, but he also captured stunning photos along the way. Beyond his expertise, he’s incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. If I could give him 10 stars, I absolutely would. Don’t hesitate—book a tour with him!   My son and I went snorkeling with Benoit. He is a fun, outgoing, and very friendly guide who is passionate about his tours. We have snorkeled in many places, including Hawaii, and this experience easily surpassed those. Benoit knows the reef preserve well, he takes the time to explain the ecosystem. The corals, fish, and sea life you see during the tour is extensive for the amount of time you’re in the water. Benoit takes you on an interesting route through the area so you can see it all. He also takes a lot of pictures and shares them with you quickly. Highly recommend if you have a few hours to spend on Tahiti!

  We had an amazing private tour with captain Benoit!! The captain was super nice and kind, explained to us about the environment and the animals with a lot of patience. He took us to special places, to a plane and boat wreck, and a table with a laptop. We saw a lot of unique sea creatures, the captain provided us with all the necessary equipment and never left his sight from us, and adjusted to our pace. He took spectacular and amazing pictures for us!! Highly recommend!

  I did this activity with my husband and daughter both of whom are not good swimmers. It is the only one on viator I could find that is only an hour and a half which is perfect for people new to snorkeling. Captain Benoit was just as all the other reviews said -- very friendly and helpful and takes some great photos for you to cherish after you are back in your home country. My daughter, who is 8 years old, ended up being too afraid to stay in the water longer than 15 minutes and we simply gave the signal to Captain Benoit and he helped her get back on the boat. We still enjoyed the beautiful scenery and fish from the boat and my husband was able to do the entire time snorkeling even though he's not a strong swimmer as you are given the option of a vest, noodle and flippers in addition to snorkeling gear. Yes, there was gear that fit my daughter and she did go in the water and explore for a little bit but again that is why I booked the shorter tour in case she was unable to do the whole tour. I would definitely recommend this tour! You can always do a longer tour later on if you get a taste of snorkeling and enjoy it!
