What To Expect

Every of our customers are impressed with this experience never seen before in Cape Verde, not long ago young sea turtles started to appear in the bay of São Pedro, a small fishing village located 15 minutes from the center of Mindelo, this is now attracting hundreds of nationals and visitors to have a look and to swim with the turtles and learn about the behavior of one of the sweetest creatures on the planet. After picking you up from your hotel or Porto Grande pier in Mindelo, we'll drive to Sao Pedro beach and there your highly qualified tour guide will be waiting for you, ready with a greeting and a short safety briefing. then you will enter the fishing boat slowly and drive away from the beach where the turtles are, after throwing food into the water the turtles start to approach the boat, wauuu!! what a magical moment worth the whole journey. you will go down in the water and swim with the turtles. Due to security measures, touching the turtles is not allowed. some security measures are taken for the protection of the turtles and also for your safety. At the end of the experience we will take you back to your hotel safely.

We booked with a local agency and were taken to the beach by a driver. Fantastic experience, the locals who accompany you very good at managing the boat. I highly recommend it

The experience itself is wonderful, and our guide, who was named "Djon Tortaruga" in the driver's phone, was very cool. He even took us for a second trip out in the bay after he forgot to bring his GoPro on the first! We got two trips for the price of one plus some beautiful photographs and videos. The highlight of Sao Vicente and Cabo Verde!

Great tour. They met us at the cruise terminal gate holding a sign with our name then we took about a 15 minute drive to the beach. Once there we were fitted with snorkeling equipment a took a 2 minute boat ride to the snorkeling site. Clear water and lots of turtles. Super friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended tour.

No explanation for people who have never snorkeled. Our videos with the gopro were going to cost €15, eventually €22.. We haven't swum with the turtles for 45 minutes.

It was a great experience. As promised we saw sea Turtles, approximately 4 of them. The guide was able to interact and play with them. It was shorter than the hour promised but the tides were strong that day so very understandable. We always tip our guide and driver, but was not expecting the push for tips from everyone on the beach, but I would not let that keep me from doing it again

Fabulous experience!! Wonderful tour guide and drivers. It was an me of the coolest experiences I’ve had on excursions for a while. I even got GoPro footage of us swimming with the turtles! Thank you! For those of you concerned about the negative reviews: 1. Trash in the water: we didn’t see much, but I understand if some was seen. At the time of our visit, the island itself was pretty dirty and I don’t recall seeing a garbage can in town later as we walked. So while I’m sure the island does what it can, this is the nature of the areas I saw. I can tell you that things will only get cleaner as more tourists come! 2. Feeding of the turtles: They have to attract the turtles and they do so with food. At one point, I was surrounded by FIVE turtles, and it was the coolest experience ever. They remind you not to touch or harass the turtles. 3.Rude or aggressive locals: Evidently this is the nature of the culture on the island as we encountered it a dozen times or more. They are aggressive to get change or sell you something. It’s all over the island and not specific to this tour. The tour guide and helpers were the nicest people we met! Helpful hints: -You’re allowed to bring a small bag on the boat, but do so at your own risk. -Be a good swimmer -Bring small change (local, Euro or USD) for tipping drivers, foot washers, or buying shells or fresh coconut water.

Taxi's ripped us off going there, guys on the beach rude and aggressive, one guy snapped at us for wanting to swim to the turtles, ITS 50M away! You don't need a boat at all! Seabed is dirty they don't even clear waste. This is a total waste of money.

I spent two days on the island of São Vicente and got to know this unforgettable experience that marked my stay on the island, the first time I saw it up close and saw the sea turtles in front of me in the wide ocean, wonderful experience, very good organization. I can highly recommend this experience.
