Do you know what a night in the Sahara desert feels like? Imagine sitting around a campfire with locals and friends under a 5-billion-star sky, sipping a cup of tea after a freshly-made dinner. That is all what this travel experience is about! The desert trips offers not only a total disconnection from the real world, but also quality time spent with your dearest friends. You will be well taken care of by the dear locals who live in the closest village. The travel experience starts in a small village not far from Douz. If you would like to have a transportation offered from Djerba, Tozeur or Gabès, write us! We will be happy to help :-) The guide crew will be waiting for you and your camel-trip will take about 2 hours (depending on when you arrive). From there, your camel adventure will start! You will reach your camping spot before sunset, and you will participate in setting up the tent and preparing a traditional couscous on a wood-fire. (if you want, of course!) PS: You will be exploring only one location: around the desert camp. The activity start at 4PM and end at 10AM the following fay.

My friend booked this experience for us, and it ended up being one of the most memorable I can recall. The people were welcoming and it never felt like a business transaction, it turns out that’s just how they always welcome strangers. The dinner was delicious, but cooking it the traditional way was even better. The camel ride was smooth and enjoyable. The best part for me was seeing the stars from the middle of the Sahara, with no lights nearby, it was magical. I wouldn’t recommend this for travelers who prefer luxury, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking authentic experiences and wanting to live like locals.

The trip was amazing! We loved every second of it. Stunning landscapes, unforgettable vibes, and the kindest people, especially the locals. Would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

This was one of the first travel experiences I lived with WildyNess and was by far one of the most remarkable one! Arriving to the desert camp and getting to know the ex-nomads and spending a night with them in the desert was culturally very enriching. The camp (including the car parking) is very safe. The staff are so friendly, kind, and caring! I lived this experience with my life, and it was a great opportunity to disconnect, enjoy the quiet of the Sahara and the bright stars at night. I would definitely try it again!
