Meet your guide, Omari, who is passionate about preserving the mangroves around this area that he calls home. He has incredible knowledge about the various bird species in the area. Sail through the waters, meet the villagers, and watch the sun set over the mangrove creeks. This experience is the ultimate way to relax as the sun goes down.

Beautiful and very suitable to relax and just enjoy nature. Watching with the trunk through the river and lots of birds and other animals is just great. Our boatman Josef also explained a lot to us and when he then steers the boat so calmly with the staff through the river, you come to rest very well.

I had a wonderful canoe ride down the Kongo River. My tour guide Omari was super nice and very knowledge about the different mangrove and baobab trees and birds along the bank. It started raining about halfway through the ride (to be expected during rainy season) but we pulled over to a rest area on the bank to wait out some of the rain under the trees and a man gave me a coconut which was very nice. Riding back in the light rain was still very nice, especially with the sun setting. Omari also took a lot of pictures of me throughout the ride which was great as a solo rider. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.

We had a fantastic trip with the boat at the beautiful kongo river with Omari. He showed us the beautiful animal life along the river and explained a lot about the nature. It’s was very interesting to learn about the nature and the life along the river. Omari as well was very kind to check that we manage to catch the driver back to the hotel.
