The Wharf is a 30 minute scenic drive, south of Byron at Ballina. Please meet on the Lance Ferris Wharf directly in front of Wharf Bar & Restaurant, 12-24 Fawcett St, Ballina. Someone will come to collect you and take you down to the boat.

5.00We were in Ballina during Christmas break, 2020. We wanted to do the Sunset River Cruise with "out of the blue adventures". We had booked for 26th Dec evening cruise and their communication for the tour departure and where and when to arrive was great. They seating was very comfortable, the cruise was fully booked with around 20 passengers, the captain and the marine biologist who accompanied us in the tour were simply great. We were taken to strategic points of the river and given short good summary of the history of the river and Ballina, the migratory nature of birds and other commentary. The captain also delighted us with a few sharp maneuvers in the water which thrilled us. We even had a dolphin sighting at one point. we were given chilled drinks - choices were between 3 types of beers, bubbly and juice. There were two types of nibbles and the service was really hospitable and with great care. The tour was for 2 hours, which to me was just perfect duration, not too long to get bored, not too short to not enjoy the ride. Overall, loved the experience and would def recommend people who love to enjoy a boat ride to do this cruise.

5.00We had such an enjoyable cruise on the river. The boat was comfortable, bird sightings were very special and we covered a large area of the river. Thanks to our hosts who were very friendly and knowledgeable. Ps: snacks and refreshments were much appreciated too.

5.00Very well organised and informative. Marine Biologist was fantastic and very knowledgeable, whilst also being very hospitable. The muffin, slice and beers were a bonus!
