At 09:30 AM, we will take you to the pier in Puerto Capitania. Here we will embark on a 30 minute journey to our serene Paradise Amazon Lodge.
Tambopata National Reserve
CANOPY: We will begin with a brief journey of 200 meters from our lodging to the Canopy Tower, which rises to a height of 35 meters. This tower is situated next to a majestic Lupuna Tree, an emblematic symbol of the Amazon due to its impressive size. Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to spot various bird species from this tower. Our local guide will ensure you receive enriching details about the flora and fauna of the surroundings.
Madre de Dios Region
KAYAKING: In the early afternoon, we'll embark on a kayaking journey. Initiating from our lodge, our team will ensure you're outfitted with all necessary safety equipment. Once prepared, we'll start our kayak adventure with a safety boat accompanying us, ensuring everyone's well-being throughout the journey. Afterward, seize the chance to cool off from the Amazonian warmth by diving into the refreshing waters of the Madre de Dios river.

MONKEY ISLAND: After your kayaking adventure, we'll hop back onto our boat for a brief 15-minute journey downstream to Monkey Island. True to its name, the island is a haven for various monkey species. You'll likely encounter Capuchin monkeys, Black Monkey (Cebus apella), White Monkey (Cebus albifrons), and more. Many of these species are quite amicable. With guidance from a local expert, you'll have the chance to approach and even feed them, observing their harmonious existence in the Tambopata National Reserve. Post this unique interaction, we aim to be back at the lodge by 4:30 PM, just in time for you to marvel at an Amazonian sunset.

CAIMAN SPOTTING: We will head out on a excursion after dark to search for alligators, rigged with searchlights and headlamps. We will observe dwarf caimans and white caimans. We will be back at the resort around 7:30 p.m. to have dinner and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

In the morning, the melodious chirping of birds will be your wake-up call. Our team is eager to serve you a delectable breakfast comprising freshly squeezed fruit juice, a steaming cup of authentic Peruvian coffee, eggs, fluffy pancakes, savory fried plantains, and other traditional breakfast items. At 9:30 a.m., we will embark on our journey to the checkpoint where local authorities will register details of each visitor. Following this, we have a scenic three-kilometer trek ahead of us leading to Lake Sandoval. As we proceed, seize the opportunity to observe a diverse array of flora and fauna. Notably, the vast lake is home to majestic otters which are often spotted by our guests.

Nestled within the forest and along the serene shores of Lake Sandoval, we will present you with a sumptuous meal. Following our repast, we'll embark on a rowboat journey to the lake's heart, hoping to spot more of its avian inhabitants and creatures. The area is home to hoatzins, cormorants, and anhingas. On fortunate occasions, visitors have even caught glimpses of the distinctive and playful "river wolves." After our intimate encounter with the vibrant life of Lake Sandoval, we will make our way back to the resort.

Around 6:30 in the evening, we'll embark on a walk to observe various species of nocturnal creatures. Our knowledgeable guide will provide detailed explanations about each one. Following our exploration, we'll return to the lodge for dinner at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Lago Sandoval
With an early morning wake up you will enjoy a beautiful sunrise navigating up the River Madre de Dios to the Collpa de Loros. A swarm of birds will begin to slowly approach the cliff to eat the clay when we have had time to settle. You will also have the opportunity to see several other bird species, such as blue-headed parrots, auroras, and parakeets. This activity lasts about an hour, during which you can film, take the best pictures, and think about these beautiful and fascinating birds while watching the amazing sunrise over the rainforest. We will return to the resort at 7:00 AM to have breakfast at 8:00 a.m. After breakfast you will have time to rest till the next excursion
Lago Sandoval
After breakfast, we'll journey to a nearby ravine for a fishing excursion. The lake teems with a diverse array of fish, including catfish, damsels, sardines, and piranhas. We'll then bring our catch back to the resort, where our chef will expertly prepare it for lunch using traditional seasonings.
Tambopata National Reserve
After lunch, we will transport you back to Tambopata in time for your next bus or flight.

Wonderful experience, only issue was lack of electricity which we found very difficult and were not aware
