The snowshoe tour was great! The views were amazing and our guide Diego was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and about the native trees and flora. He let us go at our own pace and an added bonus, he was bilingual!

Our multi-generational family (of different physical abilities and interests) had an incredible experience hiking Amole Canyon with Diego. He held the interest of our younger hikers, sharing just enough info about plants, animals, and geology, and providing time for exploration. He was fun to be with and felt like a natural extension of our group. He set up a beautiful lunch at the end of the journey. We had a great time and are already planning a return visit!

  • Amazing Snowshoeing

We had an amazing time on our Amole Canyon Snowshoeing Tour with Lizzy as our tour guide! It was me and my son's favorite part of our spring break trip to Taos. We had great weather and fresh snow on our three mile hike, and Lizzy gave us breaks to play in the meadows so the kids could build snowmen or rest. Lizzy was also very patient with re-adjusting my son's snowshoe and had a great attitude. We also had a gourmet lunch and hot chocolate after the tour, what a great time!

  • An Experience, Not a Tour

My girlfriend and I did the back country snowshoeing with Angelisa in Anole Canyon outside of Taos NM. This was not a tour; it was a full on experience. We didn’t expect to learn so much history of the region, why ponderosas require burning for propagating, how lichen indicates clean air, and the general healing powers Mother Nature brings you in Taos. Not only did Angelisa provide an experience, she also recommended numerous other activities from great local food dishes to a personal friend who led us through a sound bathing experience. If you want to feel the excitement of immersing yourself in the local vibes, you’ll find it here... and perhaps leave wanting to be best friends with your guide like we did.
