• Wonderful two days in Giza and Cairo!

  Farag and Hanan were warm, authentic and truly made our experience in Cairo! We had a lot of coordination with them before our trip, as our airline kept on canceling and changing our flights. They were very accommodating, and ultimately helped us create a wonderful two-day experience. Meeting us at the airport, Farag was there with a smile and a cold drink, while Hanan gave us an in-depth introduction to the history of the city and our first destination, the pyramid complex at Giza. Farag was both an amazing driver and great DJ, expertly manouvering through Cairo traffic like a nimble ship captain. We had a full day in Giza, with Hanan providing context and giving us plenty of time to get an overview of the complex while navigating around the crowds. We had a great afternoon at the Grand Egyptian Museum, which brought to life all the background Hanan provided about the Old, Middle and New Kingdoms of ancient Egypt. The next morning, Hanan guided us around Islamic Cairo, creating an on-the-fly itinerary that allowed us to understand the architecture and history of the city. From a first stop at the Mosque and Madrasa of sultan Hassan, to the Salah al-Din citadel that gave us a breathtaking view of the city with the pyramids in the distance, we were able to connect understand the history of the city. We then went a hunt for the list of items a friend had asked me to bring back, with Hanan taking us to places where she knew they were available at a fixed price. Our last stop of the day was the Qalawun Complex, navigating the streets of downtown Cairo as we stopped to eat at a wonderful hidden restaurant at the Khan El-Khalili market. A truly unforgettable two days, made possible by the dynamic duo of Farag and Hanan!

  Excellent full day tour of Cairo as we designed and with expert suggestions and tweaks from Farag: absolute flexibility on timings and were able to fit in Giza, Saqqur and Dashur and Museum of Civilisation to see the mummies, along with some falafel, shawarma and dessert. Price was confirmed prior to commitment and remained at that. Farag is informative, funny and professional, you won't be disapointed.

  If you want your Cairo trip to be unforgettable and completely stress-free, book Farag and Hanan. From flawless communication months in advance to a spotless, air-conditioned car stocked with ice-cold water, every detail was perfect. Farag’s driving is pure genius, Hanan’s knowledge brings history alive, and both treated our children like family. They made us feel safe, cared for, and welcomed every step of the way—true Egyptian gems. From the very moment we reached out to Farag and Hanan—three months before our trip—the experience was seamless. Communication via email and WhatsApp was prompt, clear, and reassuring. Every question was answered, every detail confirmed, and their professionalism shone through from the very start. Anyone booking them will not be disappointed. When we arrived in Cairo, they collected us from the airport with warm smiles and immediately made us feel safe and welcome. Farag’s driving skills are nothing short of legendary—he knows every nook and cranny of the city—and with three young children in tow, his thoughtfulness shone through as he played cheerful children’s music in the car. The comfortable, cool, and spotlessly clean vehicle made travelling a pleasure, and the cool box full of ice-cold bottled water was an absolute godsend in the Cairo heat. Our first stop was the Pyramids, where Hanan’s exceptional knowledge and engaging storytelling brought the ancient world to life. She had the perfect balance of guiding us through the highlights while knowing exactly when to step back and give us space to absorb the magic. Before heading to the Egyptian Museum, we were approached by persistent young street sellers. Farag gently and politely shielded us from the situation, ensuring we felt comfortable and secure. At the museum, Hanan once again impressed us with her expertise and respectful guidance—always attentive, never intrusive. Later in the day, we requested a serene felucca ride on the Nile. Farag kindly arranged it for us on the spot, even prepaying to keep things simple and adding it to the final cost. They also waited patiently while we stopped for breakfast and later lunch at our own request, never making us feel rushed. Every detail was handled with warmth, patience, and care. Farag is more than a tour guide—he is a true gentleman with a huge heart. The way he hugged our children goodbye, kissed them on the head, and even stopped to help an elderly woman in the sweltering heat on our way back to the airport speaks volumes about his character. His community spirit and kindness are as vast as the history he proudly shares. Hanan’s grace and knowledge, combined with Farag’s charisma and generosity, made our Cairo trip unforgettable and completely stress-free. If you are visiting Egypt, do not hesitate for a moment—seek out Farag and Hanan. They are an absolute credit to their country and their profession, and we are forever grateful for the memories they helped us create.   though i am posting this as august 2024, i last had that joy of being with farag and company 1 year ago today/yesterday in july 2024. even now, a year later, i remain grateful and cannot say enough to commend farag and farag's work. i don't post reviews in general. this is the main reason it has taken so long to say: farag is one of a kind. i have worked with him three times - in 2019, 2021, and now in 2024. he is amazing. i connected with a company he works with (also excellent) — egypt budget tours -- through another friend’s recommendation. (farag also works independently though.) farag is kind, caring, compassionate, thoughtful, patient, generous, knowledgeable about cairo, and *extremely* humorous. he has a great heart - and aims to please (and understand) those with whom he works. anywhere you need to go, anything you need to do in cairo, farag can help make it happen. to quote farag, “life is delicious!” this was the review i wrote at the beginning of my 2024 visit. by the end? i had no words for how brilliantly farag met and exceeded my expectations. he showed up in ways i could never have imagined: caring for and accommodating my sick travel partner (and this was not the first time i returned with new people who he took good care of), helping to organize and execute an epic birthday celebration, and generously showing genuine love in creative and memorable ways. wow. farag is such a special and amazing guy. truly. and if you know *him*, you might think he put me up to this. but if you know *me*, you know i wouldn’t post this if it weren’t the truth of my experience.

  They had everything all set up. Farag definitely knows where to go and what he’s doing. As a female solo traveler I felt safe which was the most important thing for me. Would recommend for anyone else!

  The Best Cairo Experience Ever – Thanks to Farag! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re heading to Cairo and want a memorable, comfortable, safe and truly special experience, contact Farag without thinking! It was our first time in Egypt, especially Cairo, as a female friend, and I must admit we were a little nervous at the beginning. But with Farag, this trip was one of the most enjoyable and private trips of our lives. Farag was not just a driver; he was a Guide, a friend, a hero. With its smile, mastery, confidence and great energy, it took the trip to a different level. With him, we always felt safe, peaceful and happy. Cairo’s chaotic traffic went like water and we never got stressed. He knows everything to the finest and offers hidden treasures, the best restaurants, the most impressive views, and the sights away from the tourist crowds. We didn’t just tour, we experienced Cairo. If it weren’t for Farag, we’d probably not have seen so much space and have had such peaceful and fun memories. Farag is incredibly timely, arriving on time every morning, even being there early. The vehicle was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned—it’s so luxurious in the Egyptian heat! It also gave us cultural information every day along the way, made us laugh, and gave us positive energy all the time. She even guided us while taking a photo, and the Instagrammable frames were thanks to her. And the food recommendations...without Farag’s restaurants, we probably never knew Egyptian cuisine was so good and delicious. We still taste the food we eat where locals go, where tourists usually don’t know. It was not just a transportation service for us, it was a true travel companion. With a smile, confidence, and perfection, all of our prejudices about Egypt came apart. Without him, we couldn’t have had such a great trip. In fact, Farag is the heart of this excursion. Once we go back to Egypt—which we’ll definitely go—we’ll roam with Farag again and again. We recommend it to family, friends, and everyone.   This was a fantastic tour. How was met as soon as I departed the aircraft by a gentleman holding a sign that led me through the customs and passport process and had my Visa ready to go. He navigated the airport so well and I was off the plane and through with the front door in about 15 minutes. It was just me and two young girls. We hadn't slept in 24 hours. They brought us to a air-conditioned van. It was loaded with drinks. It was very casual and we stopped breakfast that the driver had prepared and delivered to us at a tea shop. It was fantastic. They organized a camel tour that took us around all the pyramids. Cuz they knew all the operators they had everything set up for us and van so we didn't have to wait anywhere. It was really seamless and I took a lot of the fear/guess work out of it. The historian that came along was able to provide a guided tour and walked with us in the grand museum and explained all the artifacts. He dropped us off at our hotel at the end of the day after a wonderful trip. The entire experience was flawless and I couldn't recommend them enough. I am Canadian traveling with two young girls and I couldn't have felt more comfortable and enjoyed the experience.

  Farag and Hanan were fantastic. We did the pyramids at Giza, Dahshur, Saqqara and the city tours with them across 3 days. Farag is an amazing driver - knows the city inside out. He also knows everyone and can get you everything from a great restaurant with a view of the pyramids to delicious, in-season mandarins. Harman was a great guide and organizer and customized the whole trip for us. We were lucky they were available. Recommend them highly!
