Terrible Experience – Avoid Tea Around Town Philadelphia!

1.00Absolutely unacceptable experience with Tea Around Town Philadelphia. We booked a tour for a group of four, traveled 2½ hours each way, paid for tolls, gas, and parking, only to have the tour canceled 15 minutes before boarding. No prior notice, no apology, and zero effort to make things right. Customer service? Rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Their policy demands guests reschedule 14 days in advance with a fee, yet they canceled at the last minute and refused to take responsibility. I made multiple calls and sent several emails, and a week later, still no refund. I finally had to dispute the charge with my credit card company because they clearly do not care about their customers. This company is unprofessional, unreliable, and dishonest. They wasted our time at great expense. If you’re considering booking with Tea Around Town be aware. Their offices are in New York for all Tea Around Town tours. If this is not usual they should of worked to keep my business and make it right. Yet no word from them from the initial day, email was received after tour canceled asking if I wanted a refund or to reschedule. Poorly handled Tea around town!

1.00I purchased 11 tickets for my daughter's 6th birthday. The following week we found out about a death in the family, and the services were to be on the same day as the tickets I purchased. I immediately contacted the company- an entire month before our scheduled ride- requesting to move our ride to a later date so that we could attend the funeral. They wanted to charge me $500 to do so. When I the read their date change policy, it said that a fee of UP TO 50% could be charged at the companies discretion. I asked them to waive the fee as the was very advanced notice and for a funeral. It was also truly more than I could pay. They were extremely rude and unsympathetic. I am going to have to miss the funeral now because I can't afford to move the date. Beware of supporting this company.

5.00The food was delicious and filling. Everything was absolutely lovely ! The decorations were beautiful and I enjoyed the hostesses singing. This was a wonderful experience that we thoroughly enjoyed and would do it again.

5.00The views and service were amazing . I was 2 min late and they happily waited for me . The food was amazing and the ladies singing had a beautiful voice . I will do this again with friends and my daughter again next year . The bus was also beautifully decorated . I was celebrating a birthday and they sung happy birthday to us

From the moment we stepped aboard, we were transported into a charming world of elegance and fun. The tea service was absolutely delightful — fresh finger sandwiches, warm scones, and decadent desserts that were all beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. Each bite was a treat! Special shoutout to the amazing staff: Sara, MyJae, Maddie, and Day were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely pampered from start to finish. Their hospitality truly made the afternoon feel special. The live singer added such a lovely touch to the atmosphere — what a beautiful voice! And our driver was excellent — smooth ride, safe turns, and an overall relaxing journey through the city. Highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to enjoy a unique and memorable outing in Philly. Can’t wait to do it again!
