After picking you up at your accommodations we will head towards the village of Maguez, the place from our walk takes off. After crossing some beautiful valleys we will arrive right to the edge to the impressive cliffs of the Archipelago Chinijo Natural Park where we will enjoy breathtaking views. If it is not too windy this is a perfect stop to enjoy a longer break overlooking Penedo Bay and La Graciosa Island. Then we will be heading to the charming village of Haria located at the bottom of the One Thousand Palm Tree Valley and where on Saturdays it holds the only handicraft market on the island. Good spot to buy goat cheese, jams & the traditional "mojos" (Canarian sauces) etc or just seat down and enjoy the market´s atmosphere while having a drink. Afterwards, we will make our way back to Maguez.

Walking through the Lanzarote countryside was both great exercise and a learning experience about the culture of the island. Raquel was very informative about the flora and fauna, farming practices, and geology of the area, as well as a good trail guide. Perfect amount of hiking for a shore excursion for people who are reasonably fit.

Great views of coast and islands. Lovely market and town visit. Grateful for Jose helping me as I developed a cold the day before and struggled with the hill climb. Picked & dropped off at our Villa.

We had a great hiking trip with Raquel, who was very knowledgable about the specific hiking destination as well as the island of Lanzarote in general. Many things we saw on the island only made sense to us after her insightful explanations, especially how to "read the" volcanic history of Lanzarote through its landscape. In addition, Raquel was well equipped with anything you could possibly need, and gave us a feeling of safety, guidance and of being welcome throughout the entire trip. Oh and last but not least, the landscape is stunning, especially omce you get to see the ocean coast and the rocky cliffs from high above.

The hike was really great. Our guide, Jose, was just great and took the time to explain a lot of history and nature to us.

There are some amazing views on this walk, in particular a spectacular view down the west coast from the top of a volcano. The tour was at the opposite end of the island from where we are staying but the transfer was superb. Can’t begin to express how good our guide Jose was, you feel very welcome. We met up with people who we’d shared another one of Jose’s treks, we’d all booked independently after we’d enjoyed the fist one so much

Rachel was an excellent guide. She speaks many languages fluently and was able to instruct us on much of the plant life and geography/geology as we walked. You need to be quite fit to do this walk and there is one particularly steep climb and descent that is not only strenuous but also close to a cliff edge so not good if you have a fear of heights. Not sure this is made clear in the description of the trip but otherwise we couldn’t fault it at all.

Jose the tour guide was very friendly, informative and knowledgeable in the tour and on the area we were hiking as well as any question you asked about Lanzarote in general. The hike was gentle and plenty of stops for photo's,chat.... No rush.Just a nice relaxing pace. Some stunning views of the valleys and cliffs of famara. All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing day had by all. Would highly recommend Blackstone,Walkinglanzarote hike tours to anyone who loves hiking.

This walk has been very well thought out and is a very pleasurable experience. We started from a very nice cafe where our guide Jose bought us coffee and explained the route.Which includes some fabulous views down to the sea and walking through a lovely artisan market where you can buy local cheese etc. Jose is a font of knowledge about the island, its people, plants and animals which he provides as a superbly interesting commentary during the walk. He also guides other walks and if we had time we would definitely have taken up the opportunity.
