Malta’s capital city, Valletta, was built by the Knights of St. John more than 400 years ago. It is a historic city, but also a living, working one, the administrative and commercial heart of the Islands. In the mornings the city is visited by thousands of people, Maltese and tourists alike, some on their way to work, others to shop or to learn more about its history. But what happens at night, when the shops and the offices close?

This city has throughout the centuries witnessed death, murders, executions and plots. It is not surprising that there are many ghost stories told about Valletta, as it seems that there could still be some earthbound spirits attached to these historic places, still looking for eternal peace or vengeance.

Join our Valletta Ghost Tour, to hear a selection of these stories as we walk through the dark and deserted streets of night-time Valletta, and perhaps experience something for yourself. Who knows who or what could be lurking just around the corner.

Matteo gave us a great tour of the city today and provided a lot of information on the history of Malta and Valletta. We only had one day off a cruise so this provided great coverage and interesting facts, aling with tips for those who had more days to explore. We want to visit Malta again to experience this beautiful place. Thanks Matteo.

An interesting tour that combines the highlights of ghost stories in Valletta enriched with historical aspects of the area. It is fascinating how every corner of Valletta is enriched in history spanning through the times, from the footprints of the Knights of Malta, to the British reign and the significant role during World War II, till today.

Historical, mind blowing and fun! We been talking about it for days after. Make sure to pack some water, wear comfortable shoes and maybe a small touch as some areas do get dark.

The ghost tour was very well-prepared and thought out. Matthew, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the subject as well as the history surrounding the different stories which he recounted. Not many events are happening during the pandemic and the way this walking tour was organised showed that safety was not compromised while still maintaining a high-quality delivery and execution. Overall a lot of fun was had by our little group and will definitely consider again!
