Explore Tierra del Fuego National Park in a more active and close way: by hike.
In small groups and accompanied by professional local guides, I discovered the park’s less-traveled trails, among sub-Antarctic forests, peatlands, rivers and the Beagle Channel coast. This experience invites you to connect with nature, observe its flora and fauna, and understand how life is formed in the far south of the continent.
During the tour, you will discover iconic places such as Ensenada Zaratiegui, Lake Acigami and Lapataia Bay, where the Pan American Route ends. Along the way, your guides will share stories, knowledge and curiosities about the geography, ecology and human history of this unique corner of the planet.
More than an excursion, it is an interpretive walk designed to enjoy, learn and feel part of the environment.

Bahia Lapataia
It is a charming bay of the Beagle Channel, combining forest, mountain and sea. Lapataia Bay is the last kilometer of the Pan American route (and Route N°3) that runs from Alaska to the southern tip of this national park representing the arrival at the End of the World.
Lago Roca
Also known as Acigami Glacier Lake (Roca), one of the most unforgettable postcards in Tierra del Fuego. We will walk its coast and here you can directly see the political division of the island, as it crosses the meridian that separates us from the neighboring country Chile.

We had a great tour of Tierra del Fuego. Communication with the Explore team prior to the tour was clear (as I needed to make sure we would be back on time for another tour). Our guide whose name started with an M (unfortunately forgot her first name) was lovely - very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. It was nice seeing the beautiful landscapes and was overall very smooth and organized. I would highly recommend!

A truly amazing experience for this part of the world. Juan-se and Dilan were very knowledgeable and were perfect guides. They knew much about the local culture and history of Tierra Del Fuego from the flora and fauna to the indigenous people. The views from the short hikes we did were beautiful and it was the perfect amount of time. The train was fine but the highlight is for sure the guided tour and the tour guides themselves.

In order to have the opportunity to see as much of Tierra Del Fuego as possible, I decided to go there with Explore Tierra Del Fuego and it was a great experience! I was fortunate to have Lucas as my guide and not only does he speak French very well, he is full of anecdotes and stories about Ushuaia and the Land of Fire. We feel that he is at home and really wants to share with us. I didn’t take the train but it allowed me to go for an hour with Lucas and have even more information!

Our guide and driver were very nice, funny, and quite informative! Our trip went without issue and the guide made sure it was fit for everyone, especially since we had retired people and a 4 and 6 year old so the range in ages was large. Great recommendations and both Spanish and English were perfect. Could not suggest this trip and company any more highly!!!
