We had such a fantastic time making sushi bento at Tsukiji Market! 🍣 The experience was hands-on, fun, and surprisingly engaging for the kids—they absolutely loved every minute of it, which made it even more special for us as a family. It’s not just a cooking class, but a memorable way to connect, learn something new, and share quality time together. If you’re looking for a unique, family-friendly activity in Tokyo, I couldn’t recommend this enough!

From the very beginning, the sushi bento box–making experience in Tokyo was both positive and genuinely fun. The instructors explained each step clearly, blending helpful guidance with a light sense of humor that made the process feel relaxed—even for someone like me with slightly clumsy hands. The staff were warm, patient, and encouraging throughout, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to enjoy every moment. By the end, not only had I learned something new, but I also got to taste the delicious sushi I had made myself. It was more than just a cooking class—it felt like an authentic cultural experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo.

It was a great class! Very fun for first time sushi makers! Our sushi bentos turned out beautifully! The two instructors were very helpful and organized. They even took the time to take pictures for us since our hands were sticky from the rice. The price was very reasonable. I wished that they would have included hot tea with our sushi and a disposable liner for our bento boxes so that we could keep them as souvenirs afterwards. The best part was that we got to eat our creations afterwards! Oishi!

We booked the Bento Box & Sushi Making Experience for the afternoon session and we had a brilliant time. The session was really personal, informative and had very easy to follow instructions. We’ve done other sessions for chopsticks and pottery during our in time in Japan but this was by far the best experience we had and would 100% recommend.

As we come to the end of our stay in Tokyo we were treated to an absolutely wonderful experience of making our own sushi bento box. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly and brought us step by step through making our own sushi, explaining the background and culture surrounding sushi. Then we got to enjoy the fruits of our labour. A fantastic experience that I would highly recommend.
