What To Expect

Departure at 9 a.m. from your hotel in Santa Marta, Rodadero or Taganga. 10 am: Arrival at the Don Diego River where we will take a 35-minute walk along the riverbank to Tayronaka where we will visit the Tayrona ruins and the museum (we have lunch here). Then we will descend the course of the river in inflatable balls where we can enjoy its rapids and the fauna and flora that surrounds the place, we will find different types of birds and monkeys in their natural habitat, we will arrive at the mouth of the river to the Caribbean Sea where we can bathe in the sea and in the river. 4:00 p.m.: return to Don Diego by boat 5:30 p.m.: We will be back at your hotel.

Very good experience. We got to do a little tour in Tayronaka guided by a community guide. Then we went to the river to do Tubbing, I recommend to bring good repellent.very quiet and nice, a boy pulled us all the way, the current is very smooth. I don't recommend if someone has back problems.

A unique day with friends, we enjoyed the river and learned a lot about the Tayrona culture. The beach is very beautiful, a unique landscape of the Colombian Caribbean.

short but very interestng history abiut Tayronaka, very apreciate refreshing drinkafter the visit. tubbing in the Diego River was really funny safe and deep in a wonderful environnment! our guide Ademar ( or similar name..) was really healping and attentive! food was really super delicious in a simple restaurant but with kind people! facility service like to keep bag and shoes during the tubbing trip

Carlos our guide was very friendly throughout the tour. The very nice and quiet river tire ride. The beach where we arrived beautiful and with the option of swimming. Lunch was a pleasant surprise, delicious and very well presented. Finally the visit to the ruins of the tribes very interesting and the perfect closure for the day. Thanks Carlos!
