Cyril was a great guide and his humor made for some fun while learning about the history. This is a lonnngg day but not as strenuous as expected from some previous reviews and there is plenty of downtime, waiting around and eating. Cyril went out of his way to accommodate everyone and ensure we had drinks, snacks, food, toilets, etc. Lunch was delicious and huge portions. Both Annot and Entrevoux were so cool to explore and learn about their times, never seen anything like the villages before. We ended up with about 2 hours to wait until the train back to Nice comes at 7:30pm with arrival back to Nice at 9pm.

Rigorous hiking and walking, so definitely know that you are ready and able to walk steep inclines and hike through rocky trails. The scenery and views are amazing and worth the effort. Our guide was not only knowledgeable about the history and area, he was also kind and wanted us to taste local food. It was a great day. If you have time for a full day adventure, this is for you.

This trip was wonderful and it was made all the better by our guide, Cyril. He was knowledgeable and funny and allowed our small group to determine what we wanted to do during our excursion. We visited two medieval villages and saw local history and the way people live there today. We also visited local artisans and eateries. Cyril has a wonderful sense of humor and I will remember every moment of this very special trip.
