We really enjoyed the tour! Cyril was an excellent guide with interesting information and a great sense of humor. The train ride was fun and the topography was amazing. We felt like we had the Villegas to ourselves. Cyril provided drinks and curated an amazing lunch. Over all a 5 star day.

Please just book it! It was an amazing day, my son keeps saying the best day on the vacation! Carmelita was awesome, she has such a knowledge of the area. On train ride she was telling us about the history of the Nice. Answered our questions. At the first stop we hiked to the citadella , mind you it was 36 Celsius, it was well worth it! At the second stop we walked around in the nicest little village and saw beautiful churches and learnt a lot about the history of these villages. We had a short hike and a breathtaking view of the valley. The restaurant we had lunch was in a picture perfect little village, and the food was so delicious! Definitely check out the little art shop across the restaurant! Carmela was so nice and kind and funny, she made an instant connection with our 12 years old son, and all the group members. She was paying very close attention to the group, how fast we can hike in that heat, adjusted the plan according our needs and wishes, and even found a little creek for us once we had the change the original plan. Be aware that is long day, traffic can be surprisingly bad to get to the train station, and we are from the SF Bay Area. It was one of the most beautiful day of the vacation, thanks to Carmelita! <3

Matt is an incredible guide. Friendly and thoughtful with so much knowledge to share. Please don’t be intimidated by a long day, this trip is worth all you’ll experience guided than on your own. Trains, hiking, fantastic views, meal, history and an incredible experience. He offered flexible options for all along the tour and was always accommodating. Thank you for a fantastic journey and experience!
