What To Expect
You will be starting your tour from Ella, Mirissa or Tangalle at 11:30 am. Your chauffeur will be picking you up from your hotel and driving you to Udawalawe. Explore Udawalawe National Park, one of the most undisturbed and pristine natural ecosystems on the planet enriched with a wealth of Sri Lankan elephants. See huge herds of elephants, and enjoy glances of water buffalo, wild boar, spotted deer, jackal, and more. Discover an area of 30,821 hectares, which embodies the true essence of a tropical paradise. See a rich variety of exotic flora and fauna and enjoy the perfect getaway for bird-watchers. Enjoy ample opportunities for spotting endemic and migrated birds. This Udawalawe safari might even present you with the sighting of the Sri Lankan Jungle Fowl, Spur Fowl, and Green Pigeon. After the safari, you will return to your vehicle and you’ll get back to the hotel by 7:30 pm, completing your tour.

5.00We are very satisfied with Safari in Udawalawe National Park with nice and knowledgeable guide. We saw a lot of animals; birds, big lizards, even a crocodile but above all a lot of elephants. We started the tour from Tangalle and after the visit to the national park we jumped off I Ella. The driver what very nice and good.

5.00It all went as planned. The jeep driver barely spoke English, but was a plus-value, had an eagle eye, was able to find and detect the smallest camouflaged animals that I would not be able to find by myself. A guide to the park is not included in the tour, but can be hired at the ticket stores and we recommend, the experience is much richer if we know what we are seeing.

5.00We were able to see a lot of animals.. Among them, elephants were special.. There were a large number of them in herds.. We saw monkeys, deer, and birds.. The safari driver was very knowledgeable.. He was very friendly to us.. The car was also comfortable.. Everything was good for us to make the day successful and very safe..

5.00We had an amazing private safari tour with Shameera. We saw so many elephants up close from the start, and the 3 hrs was packed full. We even saw baby elephants and a tusked elephant, along with eagles, monkeys, crocodiles, peacocks, land monitors and deer. It was a fantastic time, thank you Shameera for taking care of us!

5.00This was a great and smooth experience. They sent a car to pick me up at my hotel early morning to get to the park where my tour guide, Nishan, was waiting for me. We hopped in his safari truck and head into the national park. You can use cash or card to buy the national park ticket. Nishan was fantastic and made sure we saw some elephants and we saw so many other animals too. Definitely recommend!

5.00Despite the rain we had a wonderful time and saw so many elephants including a 3 week old baby! The park wasn’t crowded so we could see all the animals up close
