Booked Helen after enjoying her Hexham Tour. The group of ten included a tot in a buggy and a very inquisitive nine year old. Oh and a couple of history graduates one of whom had completed her dissertation on Women’s history. I’ve worked and lived in Newcastle all my life and the ground covered with Helen’s informative walk was all new. Helen is a natural storyteller and is engaging and interesting in spades. It’s a wonderful way to spend the time in a group and the awful weather didn’t even spoil it.

We had a fantastic time learning so much history about the long fight for women's votes! Helen is incredibly passionate about the subject and very engaging giving us lots of extra tidbits of info as we passed the various sights and sounds of Newcastle. Surprising how local the fight for Suffrage was. Left us wanting more..

We learned so much about women of Newcastle who fought for suffrage. Helen was so passionate about the stories she shared and clearly enjoyed sharing that passion.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Votes for Women guided walk with Helen in Newcastle! She's an amazing orator and really brought to life the often horrific struggles of the women who fought for suffrage during the early twentieth century. Very reasonably priced and I'm very tempted to do Helen's gruesome tour in Hexham!

A very informative and enjoyable tour around Newcastle City Centre learning all about Women's suffrage and the heroines of the campaign connected to Newcastle. Helen, our guide was very well researched, knowledgeable and presented the tour exceptionally well. We booked this tour as a women's group and highly recommend it to others without hesitation.
