All passengers need to be at our pickup location *30* minutes prior to tour time departure! We pick up passengers from the cruise ship port, 16 at a time. The drive from the cruise ship port to the harbor is 5-10 minutes. The tour is 3 hours this includes pickup and drop off to cruise ship port, from start to finish to find Humpback whales, porpoise, sea otters, eagles, seals, brown bear, deer and, possibly, orcas. There is no telling what we may see while out on tour. Our vessel is a 38 foot Power Cat that has bench seating, a heated cab, and an aft deck for viewing the wildlife. There is a restroom on board with a marine head. A big selling point for our tour is the lack of sea sickness. Our vessel rolls 78% less then the traditional mono hull. Our captain has over 30 years of experience. You will have a personalized, small group tour that is informative and comfortable.

We went out on the boat with a ton of fog, hopeful to see whales but knew it would be a challenge. The captains pulled it off, finding a humpback whale right in the bay. They spotted the bubble netting and we got quite the show!!

I made a mistake with booking time and they were very accomodating rebooking me for an earlier time the night before the trip. Boat captains were very friendly and did a great job looking for whales till we found them.

Fantastic experience on a nice, very clean boat! The captain was able to keep us on the whales and we saw lots of humpbacks! During the trip we were incredibly excited to experience 5 breaches (highly unusual), tail slaps, and spouts! Great boat, great captain and his team! FYI, I walk with a walker and was able to use the pier’s mobility assistance cart to the port (get off on the second stop) and then wait for the van to take you to the boat. No steps to get in the boat. Your walker is not allowed on the boat but with help is was able to make the few steps to a seat inside the boat. The windows were so clean my pictures turned out great!

Would not work with us regarding any partial refund when we realized it wasn’t in Juneau. In our defense - google search of Juneau brought this tour up for booking & not being familiar with Alaska AT ALL, it was unknown that we could not get to Hoonah.

Saw orcas and humpbacks! The smaller boat and the friendly guides really made this a top-notch excursion!
