Enjoy the scenery and Stunning vineyard views as we stop at historical & Boutique Riesling estates. We will travel through small romantic villages along the Rhine River as it curves its way down to the Rudesheim Christmas market and visit a winery for an in-depth tasting learning about wines from the region
Tour Highlights:
* Hotel pick up and drop off Mainz or Wiesbaden area. (Frankfurt on request. Subject to a potential fee)
* During the end of Nov to Dec we will stop at local wine village Christmas market to try the real Gluhwein
* Visit to a historical Schloss winer tasting a variety of 20+ special wines from boutique and organic wineries
* wine tasting at a historical winery - or winery of your interest
* Try local treats at the Christmas markets and wine tapas at a local wine bar.

5.00We booked the half day tour “Wine tour along the Rhein - Rheingau” through the Grape Escapes website and Carl made it easy by keeping in touch and answering any questions we had. Pick up and drop off were convenient and easy to find, our little wine group (3 groups of 2) had a blast and we NEVER went thirsty. We tasted a decent variation of wine (some so good, we’ll be shipping them home!), saw some charming wineries, vines, and landscapes, and had a couple bites in between. Carl was knowledgeable, friendly, and kept us on schedule while also keeping in mind our preferences (which I thought was a nice touch). I also appreciated that we had access to water both on the road and at the wineries so we could keep hydrated. Based on our experience, we would absolutely recommend a wine tour with Carl and Grape Escapes! It was a lovely way to spend the day. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll be sure to look into another tour.
