What To Expect
Isola Tiberina
The meeting point of the Twilight Trastevere Food Tour is on "Isola Tiberina” or Tiber Island, in English. Your guide will meet you right in the center of the square by the San Bartolomeo church, next to a tall pointy monument.
Ponte Cestio
We will be walking together across the opposite bridge, called Ponte Cestio, to the other side of the river to enter the neighborhood of Trastevere.

5.00One of the best food tours we’ve taken. Valter had surprises all along the route. We stopped at small places where history was being discovered (Spirito di Vino), ate food that was delicious including fried artichokes and prosecco. We learned about (and tasted) the 4 great pastas. We ducked into the Basilica of Santa Maria at night. And of course ended our evening learning about and tasting real quality gelato. We had an incredible time with Valter who was an OUTSTANDING guide. He is loved by the restaurant owners as well as by his tourists. So glad we took his tour at the beginning of our trip to Rome. The history, food and fun was top notch in every way. Thank you, Valter!!!!

5.00This is the second time I've done this tour, first time alone - second time, two years later, with family, and it did not disappoint. I was fortunate to have Edma as our guide both times. She is a delightful, charming and knowledgeable host - attentive to people's needs. The assortment of food is both interesting and satisfying. Come hungry, leave happy.
